Aside from the blame on the players and coaches, the managements are not competent in procrastinating decision making to savage this season. They should have try everything right now to shake up this team, rather than watching this team falling off the cliff.

Our stars listen more to their stylists for their idiotic pre-game outfits than they do the coach. I don't see it as an either/or thing – you should fire the coach AND trade these guys. Obviously the GM has to go first too. Rather trade Matthews before he hits Sundin's record anyway. Let it be a guy who actually led this team somewhere.
This is what happens when you have a team where the coach wants to play a hard-hitting, forechecking, dump-and-chase game when their top-end players are designed to play a skill game…

According to Sammy when leafs win it's cause the opponent was terrible, when the leafs lose it's cause the leafs were terrible. His perspective is way off most of the time.

The Leafs do have a first round pick in 2028 plus they have Danford and Cowen that they could offer all in exchange for an experienced NHL vet that could help the Leafs make the playoffs. Right now the Leafs are in serious jeapardy of missing the playoffs if they do not do anything in time.
Disagree , Laughton should be the center and Tavares the winger , Taveras in the defensive zone is a liability, so reduce his responsibility and simplify his game .

The main blatant example with this team of what is wrong , how can stetcher come in to this team , head on a swivel , read the play and then proceed to make the obvious simple play? , stretcher has easily been one the team's top 3 d since being here, the embedded lifers of this team , longest tenured can't adapt to and so set in their molded ways that a foreign comfort makes them a reverse polarity as structured in design .
How do you parent kids who aren't listening and misbehaving? You don't give them the things they think they deserve and want. People say oh they have no trade clauses so you can't do anything. I would start by taking away the things they love like oh I don't know going to the Olympics or getting any ice time and watch how fast they kick and scream. I would say to #34 you're obviously not healthy we know because we sent you to Germany to have it looked at and you haven't been better so you're staying home.
After Christmas the only move is you fire the GM, Coach and anyone who has their fingerprints on the PP and you address the fans and say it's time for drastic changes
MLSE might not be good at managing a hockey team but they understand numbers and when you start to see ticket sales plummeting and tv ratings falling off a cliff they will be forced to act. One thing being overlooked is the impact this will have on a generational level if you lose your current fanbase what's going to happen to the kids who watch their parents throw in the towel?
I am starting to feel numb by the Leafs losses. This team is not functioning. They are off the rails. Is it the players? Is it the coach? I think the team just doesn't have the horses.
Brad should just come out with a statement that berube is our coach until the end of the season. This will stop the speculation that he will be gone in January. The leafs should just tank it, you need 90+ points for a playoff spot. The guys who won't waive there no trade clause should be put in waivers like what the rangers did with trouba.
