I still think it’s coaching… not sure how you go back to back 60 goal season get a new coach and drop off this much!
Berube is in year 2. Treliving in year 3. The CEO “just got here”. It doesn’t seem to me like anyone is going anywhere…at least not this season.
That said, Treliving was a terrible hire in the first place. I have no idea how he got the Leafs GM job.
It looks a lot as though losing Marner really is the thing that has sunk this team through 35 games. Not only is his production gone, but his loss has taken Matthews down, and taken away the fan & media’s favourite whipping boy.
Habs fan here loving it. Watching the boys in BLUE… appropriate for a team choking since 1967😱

I'm a Vancouver guy by birth, Leafs fan by choice?..at least you guys have a dedicated practice rink. Imagine needing a new owner? We'd have to organize a city wide boycott of the Canucks for an entire season, minimum…to fix our team.

I’ve watched this team religiously since 1990. I slowly started tuning out a little around 2018/19. The loss to the Habs in “The Bubble” really left me wondering why I watch with such conviction.
Over the last three seasons I’ve watched less and less.
This season I’ve watch a total of two full games.
For me, this isn’t a statement about the state of the Leafs as much as it is about the state of the game.
The “passion” from players has all but banished over the last 10 seasons.
It’s boring now…. Never thought I would say that about Hockey.
I’m actually more interested in the WPHL.
I don’t even get excited about the juniors anymore.
International play; sure. But that’s about it.
MLSE must be aware that TV viewership is falling like an iron parachute.

No coach GM. Is gonna want to come into this and be attached to this team at this point in the season. Maybe next spring they can find a new coach, but who’s gonna wanna coach these players they’ve shown who they are players gotta go.
