  1. Great visuals and explanation. Forward knee twist is a must but you donโ€™t want to swing side to side. Exaggerate planting your backward leg so you can twist your forward leg/loosen up the knee

  2. The use of "Pete" may be a mystery. Guessing: "Calvin Pete" was the straightest golfer – nicknamed "Xerox" for each shot was a perfect copy. Calvin Pete's left arm healed irregularly after a break. That proved a swing follow-through advantage. Calvin Pete hit one ball out of bounds his entire career.

  3. You can still come over the top from that position(although depth is important) Does not shallow the club believe me I know… lol The key for most ott golfers is separation and the right arm length ๐Ÿ˜Š

  4. Disagree – in my opinion the backswing is more about the rotation of the shoulders relative to the length of the arm swing – you had plenty of shoulder and hip rotation long before you tried to extend further through your armswing – length – depth – reach

  5. Nice. I have always been super skeptical of videos where they have drills on tucking the elbow and softening the hands on the downswing. This makes waaay more sense.

  6. Dream on junior!! 90% of us are no where near flexible enough to pull that off. You should add links to stretching videos, yoga, and pilates.

  7. Bad advice for lots of people unless you mastered your upper and lower body rhythm. What will happen is that it will take more time for your left knee to travel back to the left side and you will find yourself on impact, early extending because your left knee will be straight on impact and shift to the left after impact.

  8. But this looks whack – entirely unnatural, and that canโ€™t be good for long term health. Why are folk so obsessed with this fad?

  9. Years of teachers saying not to move the lower body really screwed some people up. Go watch Jack nicklaus or Vijay Singh. Lower body dancing all over, huge turns, effortless power, and doesn't destroy your body

  10. Telling amateurs to twist this far is awful advice man itโ€™s worse than those pants ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€ nobody wants to see your dong

  11. Hm. And for transition we move that knee back ? My instructor pointed my knee turn in and said we will fix it later. I haven't addressed that since that lesson, sounded like inshouldnt move my knee

  12. Excellent advice to get depth at the top. Especially for older golfers who arenโ€™t as flexible as they used to be and may not even realize the handle is pointed towards the toes.

  13. HAND PATH. BRING YOUR HANDS IN TIGHT TO YOUR BODY AT THE TOP OF THE BACKSWING. ENOUGH OF THIS INSANE INSTRUCTION

  14. Really sound advice! My โ€œshallowโ€ feel is the weight of the club in my trail hand as a cue to begin the downswing. With the leas knee turn towards the target, all I have to do is turn.

  15. Personally not feeling this, due to what my own GEARS data says. Feeling that shallowing with the arms is what unlocked my swing, going from like a 19 to a single digit in two months. Number two, I over did the lead knee cave in in the backswing, so I need to feel more resistance there. I overturn the hips in the backswing without gripping/pushing into the ground enough. Then i need to do the anti-early extension stuff (butt on the wall, chest down, handle lower) and I can strike it solidly. Just my personal connection this vid, I know everyone's different, but I'm simply pointing my own swing relative to this stuff, encouraging anyone reading this to seek out their own data first and foremost.

  16. It did ruin my golf swing. I've been playing golf for over 50 years. never had a problem until i tried what you are warning golfers of. I'm actually afraid to swing my irons any more. Thank you, so far you make the most sense.
