Gibson getting back to form is what this team needed. And consistent effort of course but Gibby back is nice.
Had a good bit of luck on the overturned goal, too. Never too certain those will go our way.
Seems like they always play a bit harder without Kane in the lineup.

Gibson 7 of his last 7. The Wings needed a goalie to step up badly.
But let's break up the first line, right??😂😂😂. This is why you don't, the other lines are playing well enough to let the first line have some nights off, thats the sign of a team, not just some good players.
Leonard should be tried at top line left wing for Finnie. Finnie has 3 even strength points in his last 27 games. Never out of the top 6, almost always on top line. Even plays empty net, he's out there most times with the net empty. 3 points, 27 games. And on-ice in the last 27 games, they are losing 12-17 at 5v5 w him on the ice. Over the last 9 games, it's 2-7.
So he's not producing at all, and the team is losing badly when he's out there – despite him being out there all the time w 2 star players. Who are also struggling mightily to produce w him on their line.
He has no business in the top 6, and no business still on either power play. This has gone on almost half the season now, it has messed up Kane's season (first injury was bc Finnie was sent out 1st in OT, Kane 3rd; Finnie has also been sent out with DeBrincat in OT while Kane has been sent out after w Compher); it has messed up MBN's season (demoted despite great play; never got a look on top line), it has maybe ruined Kasper's entire career (never got a look on top line; demoted off PP1 for Finnie after 1 game when Kane was first out); and it has sent Berggren to a whole other team.
All for this one kid. To favor this one kid. This 20yo 7th round pick AHL kid. I've never seen anything like this in the NHL.
