I don't know why people are excited about this, we let him walk when he was younger because we didn't believe he was worth the money, he has 5 assists in 30 games this season he's not worth 5.5 million, we could get a better player for that money.
Jordan Harris turned into Laine + Danault
That’s the crazy part
Takes a load off Suzuki & Evans and also relieves Veleno
14:32
Bye bye Struble keep Engstrom
send Davidson & Beck down.
Now we get Tatar and reunite the Tatar-Danault-Gally line
Laine want to stay in montreal
good stuff, except that Laine has
a 10 team no trade, making it harder the Habs to move his contract. Also no team is ever fully healthy
I love your Analysis on what he offers to the team long term.
How about a shut down line with Danault, Evans and Anderson
This is gonna give Suzuki an chance to play more meaningful minutes and not burn him out! Having Danault match up against some of the oppositions best lines provides Suzukis line a chance to offensively pounce on other teams lower lines! This will help us while we search for the 2C! Having Suzuki, Danault and Evans down the middle is a blessing! All 3 are 200 foot players!
1- Marco I just wanna say u and a handful of ppl in media have journalist integrity everyone talks for a story and it’s bull. U have been spot on about everything f em
2- I was wrong myself about getting Phil but nice arguments boys I look forward to the move and c the future with him makes sense .
Cheers
Oh ya and when it comes to habs inside info if it ain’t confirmed by Mr.D’Amico I don’t listen
If PD plays anywhere near the level we saw, our Habs will be a better team… in the short run. I am not sure if it will make us better long term.
I think Danault is a way better fit than Kadri and or O’Reilly! Age, contract, therm left on contract, salary, all of it! And the guy knows the market!
"Phil Danault will sign cheap to stay in Montreal" according to D'Amico. Good to see Quebec born players show where their heart belongs!
Why does Marco always mispronounce names? Kin-dell and Fye-yalah is just too much
This management team is so smart. A veteran defensive specialist to settle down the youngest team in the league, for the last year and a bit of his contract. Not giving up a key asset. A guy who knows the city, the culture and the language. Someone to put out at the end of a period, or end of a game. Relax Habs fans. He'll help these kids and then be gone. Good move
Gal, And and Evans have a new assignment that might take one to two years to get use to…babies…be careful before trading one of them
Anderson and Evans needs a dangler in Texier or Dach
too much paid for a 4 centers who slow trop chers pour un centre de 4eme trop qui ralenti
Just let Laine go after this year and free up the 8 mil or whatever. He is not going to be the dependable player Marty wants
You could give gally to a contender and retain some salary, thereby freeing up some cap space
Getting Danault back was Kent Hughes saying we're desperate but I don't want to give up anything so lets slap a Band-Aid on our problems. Danault in 30 games has 5 assists that's it. He's been in and out of the LA line-up this season and to make matters worse, he's got a 2 years left on this contract. It's like Montreal doesn't learn from their mistakes, they let someone go to the free market or they trade someone away and then when that player is at his lowest in his career we take them back LOL.
The greatest thing about Danault coming back is that he gets the very rare chance to experience for the second time the realization of his childhood dream! This could not be more special for a Quebecois! Prediction: he is going to score 2 goals in his first game back at the Bell center!
Totally off topic: I love listening to Leaf podcasts now and then. Good for a good laugh!
Marco is a great insider but I find this cast a little hard to watch sometimes because of certain elements of his personality. He's just a bit condescending at times.
