Paul Maurice, Panthers Postgame: Florida Rallies from 3 Down, Beats Carolina Hurricanes in SO

Florida Panthers coach Paul Maurice meets the media after his team rallied from a 3-goal deficit midway through the third to beat the visiting Carolina Hurricanes 4-3 in a shootout on Friday, Dec. 19, 2025.

The Panthers have won four straight and seven of the past eight.

Florida had never won a game when down 3 at the midway point of the third.

Friday, Brad Marchand got the Panthers going before Sam Bennett and Sam Reinhart scored with Sergei Bobrovsky on the bench.

Bobrovsky made 26 saves.

Reinhart and Evan Rodrigues (two assists) scored in the shootout.

The Panthers play host to the Blues on Saturday.
