Tristan Jarry Gets Injured in Bizarre Non-Contact Play

On today’s Oilersnation Everyday, we’re diving deep into the recent developments surrounding Tristan Jarry’s injury. The Edmonton Oilers goaltender was recently placed on injured reserve after sustaining what appears to be a non-contact injury, sparking much discussion within the NHL community. To address this, the Bakersfield Condors’ Connor Ingram has been called up, providing an immediate solution for the Oilers in net.

  1. THE PAINT ISN'T EVEN DRY ON HIS FIRST MASK….AND HE IS ALREADY INJURED????
Career Injuries???….AND I QUOTE…."IT TOOK ME OVER A YEAR TO FEEL NORMAL AGAIN"—To Pittsburgh reporter.
If the Oilers just traded Skinner for a budget version of Thatcher Demko….and Kulak and a 2nd rounder for????…An AHL Forward?
Meanwhile Stu Skinner went 3 YEARS, 2 FINALS…ZERO INJURIES…Sorry "MATE". Not EVERY goalie gets injured."

  2. Agreed on Skinner Tyler – that was my argument too – Skinner is and always has been (to date I can't see the future) a backup goalie. But he's a healthy, reliable backup goalie. IMO the perfect one. He could spell Jarry off easily but unfortunately he had to be part of the trade for the salary cap to fit. I wish the Pens were down a few wingers and would of been willing to take Mangiapane off our hands that would of worked way better. Then Pickard goes on waivers – no one picks him up , and now Pickard is back and we've freed up a spot for a Hutson to play in place of AM. But unfortunately – it had to be Skinner :(+

  3. I am a Vegas fan so take this for what it's worth. I am also a Pen's fan as I followed them before my home town got the Knights. We knew Jarry is a move away from a solid break for a month. But as for playing Vegas this weekend. No Karlsson, Eichel, Theodore, Hill, I don't think it will be impossible to win that one.

  4. Guys. With Hudson playing as well as he has been. Do you keep the cheap contract or do you use him as a trade chip?

  5. That injury there is like 4-6 weeks at least and when he comes back hes gonna have to work to get it up to speed. And there's a good chance he re aggravates it those take awhile. We've probably all seen that same movement from other goalies I think it's ended some careers of guys that had problems already.

  6. If the Jarry injury was due to tweaking a known pre-existing condition, then the Oilers management/pro scouting should be rightly put under a magnifying glass.

  7. Many people forget… NHL is a price cap game. What we got for skinner for the price is way better than Jarry. Oiler fans being stupid cost us this year constantly bashing skinner. Our biggest spending issue is poor defense for what we're spending on it…

  8. you seem to want to downplay… the issue is Pickard is lowest in entire nhl.. so starting him is not ideal (but might work)… and using c.Ingram is a very long shot as he is not even in the NHL & is doing poorly in minors… it Jarry has a groin issue it can be fairly chronic… but we will see… he may recover in a week or may not… Either way it is concerning news… that you could trivialize in a week if he recovers..-

  9. Good job Oilers now Jarry can move his family from Pittsburgh to Edmonton enjoy the holidays get settled in and hammer πŸ”¨ down for the run

  10. I honestly think this might just be the Ingram test, yes he is hurt but I think they are just using Jarry being hurt as a excuse to try Ingram this is mainly to evaluate Ingram to determine whether they can use him or they need to acquire a new backup
