Competition is thrown out the window. Seems like once they get to the show, they quit playing and caring.
Reminds of the old clubhouse team of the 90's, just show up and get a check, at least they had winning heart and cared about winning. This team is adrift and the team seems like it's going through the motions.

I agree with what you said about Dubas. I was thinking the same thing. If he’s serious about a playoff push then why not get serious? Silovs has shown what he is and Letang is out of gas. We need broz up here and Boko. I still think the future is bright but they need to drop this nice guy play the veterans no matter what act eventually

If it wasm't for Mario and Ron who knows what city the Pens would be playing in. They kept them here and during their time as owners 3 cups were raised. I guess people forget what a presence Mario is in the locker room. I find it funny however at the last home game the camera panned to the box Dubas was sitting in and he was cramming his cheeks with popcorn. Mario being involved with this group would be a huge uplifting, especially for the young guys that have been buzzing. To me it seems like the fire is being doused, their feet are heavy and theu are losing belief in themselves as a team. They need someone to step up and break them out of this funk they are in.
In you our closing statement, you said that you cannot separate Mario and the Pens and that Hoffman needs to do right by Mario. But did Mario do right by the Pens when he made the choice to sell? He chose to take his profits and walk away. I am sure there is a good reason and I would like to understand.
How id love to go back and find my old comments about how EK and Letang were washed, and how management has literally botched these entire franchise since the 2018 season; things I’ve been posting since years ago. But just like criticizing Tomlin, all I got was hate and death threats etc etc etc from my lovely fellow fans of Pittsburgh. But just like with the Steelers and Pirates, turns out I was right about the penguins too. Imagine still having players like Guentzel or McCann or any other player we deemed not good enough (who is now thriving) while making sure Letang, EK, Jeff Carter, malkin, a bunch of old relics, were still on the team like it’s 2012 or some shit. What an absolute catastrophe of a dumpster fire.
This team is so bad defensively that it doesn't matter who's in there or who the D pairing are

If we were relying on Jary to carry us to the post season this year, which Skinner is also capable of, than the season was already lost
DK it's defense defense defense. We don't have it. Defensemen, checking forwards, a system for clears that works. They are just playing out the dealt hand to get to next season. If that's the goal that's ok.
This team has been building for the last five years plus. Management has made poor decisions with line ups and contracts and put holes in this boat. They have built a weak team, kept way too many guys past their expiration dates and built a losing culture. Last time was awful, they were out huddled and out played all night. There was no chance of winning cause they don’t know better.
Everything is locked behind a dam. Maybe new owners will bring changes 🙂
Silovs is not a starting goalie. They need to trade him or send him down. This team is down right embarassing.

Blow it up…i don't even care if they trade Crosby at this point!! Playoffs? U wanna takk about playoffs? I'd b happy if this team wins another game this year!!! We don't have enough heart to win with 4 goals in 3rd in regualar season. U wanna see them in the crucible of the playoffs?
Thank you DK. Spot on DK. I wanted to see Muse complain over bad calls in the game. Get this team fired up and play the guys that are more ready. Untimely trades that are questionable is not the best idea. Great show DK
When Dubas traded Jarry … who had been the team's best player this season up to the point of the trade … he sent a very clear message that this season doesn't matter, and that he is still rebuilding for the future. It is best to just accept that is the direction management has taken and just look forward to the trade deadline and the draft this summer.
ugh, two wins doesn't vault them to the top. That's not how it works. The other teams are all playing each other too. It's like you don't remember the two previous years, where they were 1-4 points out of the POs for half a season and ended out of the POS by 1-4 points.

I’ve been saying this since the slide started. The ducks soul crushing defeat broke them. They have looked lifeless, disinterested, and uninspired. Our chances for a lottery pick are definitely looking up.

Where is Boko? Where is Broz? Why are Dewer, Aciarri and especially Hayes in the lineup? Why is the best defensive pair sitting in the press box? Why is your supposed newly acquired #1 goaltender sitting on the bench? So many things wrong that could be repaired. What does this tell the fans and the players?
DK, talk me off the ledge here. Are the zebras all out to get us and stick it to Dan Muse or am I just imagining things. That penalty on Silovs had me fuming and things didn't exactly get much better
I know that “no one will ever bench Letang”, but when a core part of the teams leadership gets a free pass to play with zero physicality, zero hockey sense, and zero accountability what message does that send to guys who know they’re never playing another nhl season after their contract is up. These “vets” get coddled and the team suffers.
I didn't think any of the defensive pairings were that good.

The J1Q is absolutely right. The cupboard is bare. The fans are in denial as they have been for years. They blame the goalies, the coaches and now the owners. It's insanity.
This team is not going to the playoffs..where they are going is straight to last place and in a hurry. Let's stop kidding ourselves. I'm looking forward to the draft. Trade everyone. They're old and not good enough anymore.
Yeah so something strange is going on in the nhl. I refuse to accept that the team that finds itself in a black hole of mysery is the same that began the season. Makes no sense.
DK – we were quick to praise Muse with how this team started, but maybe it's time to question him. His decisions in dealing with these losses have been questionable. He feels desperate instead of calculated. I'm aware Dubas hasn't done him any favors with the players he's giving him, but I still think his tinkering with the lines and player deployment haven't been great.
Dude. We are 5 points ahead of being last in the league. 6 wins in the last 21 games. Enough with pretending like this team didn’t massively outperform expectations when there was no pressure bc the expectations were, the pens are going to be a lottery team. As soon as pressure hits, this group folds.
They sucked on defense, sucked on shots, sucked on hits, sucked on the coach, sucked on the Shilov. But Jarry is still to blame!

I get that they "may have" traded high on Jarry. But, even when he's been bad I always thought he was still better than Skinner. His athleticism at least gave him a fighting chance.
They're D is not good. Two of the forwards just didn't belong in the lineup at all as they're not 2 of the best 12, Heinen and Hayes. The younger players at least give everything they have. Sid and his line are always grinding it out. But, they miss Lizotte and now Jarry
