More than the assist in the game against the Capitals, Minnesota lost a D man early in the game, didn't matter, Quinn played 29:33 to ensure a stable defense for the remainder of the game.

Also, in order for Walsted to attain the Vezina, he is supposed to play in at least half of the games which the coaching here doesn't plan to do since he is just a rookie. It's not a hard and fast rule, but it's been a standard component of the voting.
