The leafs let Chicago have a 2-0 lead so they could make it exciting on Joe Bowen night with a big come from behind win.
Matthews signally the crowd kind of pissed me off. The guy was invisible all game before his goal. I forget when it was, think the second, the TSN broadcast said Matthews had ELEVEN SECONDS of puck possession time. I don't care if Berube has "lost the room" like reddit GMs like to tell everyone, that's no excuse for how soulless the big boys are playing. This team is currently be propped up by its goalies, the 3rd line and Scott Laughton. Tavares has turned back into a pumpkin, and Nylander and Matthews look disengaged 99% of the time. Show some pride ffs.
Losing that game would have been almost as bad as losing to an EBUG that is the Zamboni driver that works for you.

Fun Fact, Mackinaw/Mackinac comes from the Ojibwe term meaning "Giant Turtle", coming from the idea that the natives believed that Mackinac Island was the earthly form of a sacred turtle. This is perfect because this Leafs offense moves as slow as a turtle island.
