  1. No the Wild shouldn't get Sidney Crosby, they need to concentrate on bringing in younger players. Sidney is an awesome player and future Hall of Famer, but stay with bringing in younger talented players.

  2. Is this whole Sidney Crosby thing just something you made up in your head?

Because there,'s nothing out there that I've seen.

Why would the Wild want to sign a 38 year old on the definite downside of his career?

And who are you going to give up that they want?

Nobody that's worth a damn that's for sure.

Crosby has MAYBE 2 years left at most.

And why wouldn't the Pens want him to retire after a whole career there not a stupid "sign and retire?

This is possibly one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard.

  3. No. He's too old for the assets you'd have to give up. If you're going to give those assets up, then go get Quinn's brothers from New Jersey. Get all three signed extensions, and since they're playing together (which is what they want), maybe they'd be willing to take lesser deals.

  4. I think Gretzky is still connected to Crosby, and I heard he shook hands with Fleury. I guess he's going to the Wild as well. What the hell do they put in the water in Minnesota? LSD?

  5. Yes to Crosby! McDavid, MacKinnon, Eichel and Johnston/Hintz do not want to face Crosby in the playoffs. And I will take one Cup and another 25 yrs of mediocre teams then youth and no cup.

  6. Malkin would be much cheaper to acquire as he is in the last year of his contract. His contract also seems very manageable, leaving the door open for another signing as well ( not sure exactly how it works- he has 1 mil in salary and 3.8 mil as a bonus, and 6.1 mil as a cap hit). Fleury and Guerin could convince him to resign for a team friendly deal to make a cup run.

  7. All this makes sense so, as this is hockey, logic never works and it won’t happen. But honestly, how awesome would it be!

  8. Wut? No way it happens, we already lost 2 good players and a draft pick, we need someone to breakout, we can't get prime players without giving up prime players, that would be an even trade or possibly a bad trade. Most I could see Crosby benefitting wild is if pens are willing to take prospects/draft picks. We need what we have pretty much.

  9. It would be nice to have Crosby if they could get him for cheap. Too bad they won't be able to. He's still a top player in the league and is on pace to score 50 this season. It's going to take at least a first and a solid prospect or two. At that asking price, I'd rather see them go after Tage or Tuch.

  10. Wild should not pursue Crosby. He's getting old and probably not good for many more years and there is such a thing as too much talent on a team. You get a bunch of elite players and you're going to have a bunch of elite egos to deal with.
