It can work, say, if you're the 90s Detroit Red Wings minus Nick Lids and you can have Sergei Fedorov man the point, who could skate backwards as skillfully as he could forwards. But forget about one-directional 8, 10, 13, 16, and 93.
Oh, by the way, the Rangers have been shutout seven times this season, six on home ice, which is — you guessed it — a new franchise record, and there's still a week before Christmas Eve. 😃
Panarin $11 million, Zibanejad $8 million, Miller, Lafreniere,Cuylle,Trocheck all on millions yet The Rangers offense is 29th worst in the league. When is this dismal shower going to justify their salaries ? What's the point of having the so called best goalie in the league if the other team only needs to score one to win ? Half way through the season and it's blindingly obvious that this team are nothing more than overpaid also rans.
Changes need to be made from Drury to Sullivan Panarin to Zibanejad and especially Lafreniere…what a monumental setback he and kaako were to this teams potential..this team has no heart

I’m so beyond tired of using words like terrible, horrendous, stupid, or depressing when talking about the Rangers. At this point I’ve seen enough. We need to start a rebuild – and it starts by dumping Drury, I hate to say it. Mika gotta go. Miller gotta go. Panarin gotta go. This core is washed. The ONLY mild bright spot is Igor and even he’s got me questioning his capability.
I agree the current power play is not working and they need a d-man out there. But the bigger problem is the offense in general. They are 30th in scoring, and have 15 regulation goals in 8 games this month. They've been shut out 7 times in 35 games, well on pace to tie the NHL record of 16 — and have been held to 2 goals or less in regulation 21 times, ie 60% of their games.
Solid defensive play basically renders them helpless, and that's been true whether Fox is playing or not.

I've been a fan since 1968. This is THE WORST. So sad. Thank God I don't have tickets anymore. Very disappointed.
