  1. When you get the best player, you win a trade in the short term. Long term, we’ll see. If Minnesota gets tossed in the first round 2 years in a row and Quinn leaves, then it’s a lot closer, especially if the players they got pan out.

  2. It sounds like Hughes is open to staying in Minesotta – likely with a chance to win a cup in the next 1 to 5 years. The Canucks window to be a contender had closed and he wanted to move on. How many players have bled Canuck blue and would have stuck it out? Smyl, Linden, Sedins, Horvat, Boeser…

  3. Minny still has to get out of the first round…. Perhaps one of the best Canuck trades ever, with finally landing a solid 2C and a rookie D with huge upside ….

  4. The hardest thing to accept is not the loss of Hughes, it’s accepting that the last 8 years have been a waste. I really thought we had something in 2023 with 2 top end C, a franchise D and a top end G.

  5. one man can't win every game by himself but 3 1st rounders on the ice and a 4th 1st rounder draft pick coming in 2026 and the Canucks own 1st round pick in 2026 (could be a 1st over-all) and you have potentially 5 very good (and some very very good) players with an average age of what 20? that could be a core of players for the next 10+ years.I hope Jim Rutherford does'nt trade off some of these new players and 1st round picks to pick up another-older center star in an attempt to get into the play-offs this year.

  6. Qh didn’t even mention Pat Allvine in post game press address. That’s a red flag for sure.

  7. Canucks are not winning a cup for at least 6-7 more years, Pete contract has to end, and they need some solid offense, right now they don’t have any

  8. Hughes got better as the game went on, it was as if he realized he was not the only good player on the ice. Columbus could have done it maybe.

  9. Worst trade in Vancouver Canucks era . Reminds me of the Elite Patrick Roy trade for a bunch of maybies. Too the todays Elite Quinn Hughes. For a bunch of maybies. This panel knows squat . They are blowing wind up your pipe shoot . They are paid too . The Gary Bettman plan for a new American team too winning it all Minnesota looks very real . Since 1994 do you see the pattern . Sorry Canada it's just business. You all have something we need to have you buy into ….. H.O.P.E. 😂😅😂

  10. Hughes is great! But small and injury prone! What happened to the hot shot management team in Vancouver! Star goalie who is hurt all the time. Petterson has disappeared! They can't score!! Now they can't defend!! Move the team to the U.S. and Bettmam will make sure they win the cup!!
