  1. Looks like a good trade for both teams. Really good point by CJ. You always want more , but kudos for the Canucks getting a good offer and taking it !

  2. I've been a Canucks fan since I found out who King Richard was as a kid in what, 81'? I've seen a lot from this team. There was pain on Friday to see Hughes go, what a player. Today, I also think this is a win-win for both teams.
Quinn was having to do everything as a Canuck this year, which made them a bit one dimensional. Now, there is better balance on the team. Hopefully these new guys like it here and we can truly start building the room anew. ✌️
Can't help but be curious about the Wild moving forward though.

  3. Assuming Quinn Hughes does not re- sign in Minnesota, I think Vancouver wins this trade. Getting Quinn Hughes alone is not going to put Minnesota over the top. And they only get him for 2 years

  4. I see what the Wild get, obviously. But does Vancouver have a strategic vision, a realistic way to get to their goal, and do these assets contribute to it? I've seen people talking they think it was a bad deal for Vancouver – it's only bad if you're just trying to replace Hughes. If these assets fulfill whatever the vision is, wouldn't that make it a good deal?

  5. Should’ve got two firsts and haul. Jim Rutherford didn’t even counter the offer. He took the first one given. Embarrassing

  6. If he doesn't sign. Then wow wild made a huge mistake.he wants to win and I'm sorry but the wild will not be going anywhere in that conference if they make it in the playoffs

  7. Wild need to win by end of next year to make this work. This season they have to contend with the central powers (avs / stars) and i dont know if next season will be much easier. A big swing, but this could blow up in their face.
