  1. Thompson is the obvious choice. He is so good this year and last year. But Binnington? The guy is playing like garbage. Just because we got lucky with him in 4 Nations for a couple games doesn't mean we should trust him for the Olympics. Kuemper is solid. How about Tristan Jarry? He is doing good so far with a .911 save percentage. Or for the third goalie take a chance with Eric Comrie, the Winnipeg Jets backup. He had fantastic numbers last year, and while he only has 3 games so far this year, he is at .929. But he also brings character to the team that few others ever could. He is a heart and soul kind of guy. Seriously though, Binnington (.859) and Montembeault (.855) are bottom of the league right now.

  2. Logan Thompson should have made 4 Nations team earlier this year. Something fishy going on. Also Binnington isn’t doing well at all right now. Put Mr Thompson on the team going to Milan Italy 🇮🇹 for sure. I finally agree with Biz and I’m not a fan and I live in Arizona !!!! Go Leafs Go!

  3. 1998 team Canada goalies – Martin Brodeur, Curtis Joseph, Patrick Roy
2002 – Martin Brodeur, Curtis Joseph, Ed Belfour
2006 – Martin Brodeur, Roberto Luongo, Marty Turco
2010 – Martin Brodeur, Roberto Luongo, Marc-Andre Fluery
2014 – Roberto Luongo, Carey Price, Mike Smith
What the heck has happened to Canadian goaltending. And Logan Thompson should 100% be on team Canada.

  4. Theres too much cigar room old boys club politics in these decisions, and too much slow moving decision making.

  5. Thompson grew up in Calgary where he got to watch his idol, Miikka Kiprusoff. You can see similarities in his game in terms of flashiness and athleticism, he's a not only statistically a great goalie but he's also fun to watch. I'm glad he finally became a #1 goalie, but i would love to see him play for Canada.

  6. I'm an American, and I say this with all sincerity growing up as a huge Roy and Brodeur fan, Canadian goaltending is in the toilets these days, what gives?

  7. As long as Deboer and Cassidy will be in the coaching staff Thompson will never be considered. I know it’s stupid but that’s the harsh truth

  8. Thompson is the only elite goalie Canada have. USA have Hellebuck, Wolf, Swayman, Oettinger. Sweden have Ullmark and Gustavsson. Russia, Czech, Finland as good as the canadian team is they have by far the worst set of goalies out of every nation mentioned above.
