So excited to watch the rest of this season! He makes everyone around him better
Agree on the Faber-Hughes pairing. That looks like a dynamic duo.
I love watching you glaze the wild. But today in particular I especially loved it lol
Seth, this post is "sober trav's" thoughts on the Hughes trade unlike the other night when "drunk trav" heard about the trade got online and lost his mind 😂
Guerin was hired in 2019. The roster is 100% Guerin's creation and the buyouts can no longer be the scapegoat………Guerin knows his time is all but up with Leipold. He also knows a soon-to be 29 year old Kirill will basically start the decline as that new contract kicks in. So what Guerin did was, for one last attempt at self-preservation, went "all-in" at the expense of the Wild's future. Guerin literally has this season and next to win the Cup and he will be fired. Guerin also knows to win a Cup he will need to add a legit Centre so expect more futures, a roster player, and picks gone sometime soon. The Hughes trade officially started the countdown for Guerin, and Hynes. 2027-2028 is the official start of the Wild rebuild so let's hope we get a Cup from now until then………………………..I am fine with it. Get a centre, get healthy, and get a damn Cup.
He said that he did not have his leg this year and was tired. He will need 5 games to get accustomed to playing with new teammates. He will be fun to watch.
Everyone,l have Scott bjugstad coming on the show tonight too talk about his magic in 1985 for all you North Star fans
You're really going to enjoy this show,he will be taken questions,,see you tonight
He seems excited! Happy that he can hopefully just let loose make some friends and play some great hockey 🙂
Serious question would you take Jack and Luke from New Jersey? If you could sign Quinn long-term plus you have to give up Kirill
Hughes is the piece that will also develop Faber on the offense. Faber showed he could be an above average offensive D his first year and this year he is showing his lock down D ability. Hughes will teach Faber the balance of both with the edge going to offense. Great trade
I feel like you don’t want him on the PK. Not because he’s not capable or good at it, but because his best attributes are his puck moving and skating/creativity offensively. You’d rather have him out there for 27 minutes of pp/5v5 time to create scoring chances, at least that’s how I see it
No matter how this goes. I’m happy Billy G took a swing. He looked great.
Great show, I hope someday u can use media clips.
always a joy to watch Quinn Hughes plays, WILD is lucky to have him!
Just maybe time to believe.??
Great podcast! Couldn’t agree more with your statements – crowd was loud, and players are starting to believe they are a top 10, maybe top 5 team. Trenin was flying, even showing speed, Hartman is interested again, even Jiricek and Hunt had solid games. Playing shorthanded – Johansson left early P2, plus the others out of the lineup, makes this very impressive.
Hughes is so quick and is going to elevate the first PP. Now I understand the randsome given up by the Wild as it seems like a fair trade for both clubs, the best type of trade. His hands rival Kaprisov’s as do his edges which are crazy. On a sidenote, I feel the Wild gave up on Khustnutdinov too quickly. He looked solid and received a nice ovation when his name was announced. Wild aren’t done yet, a top 6 forward, maybe a C1 will be forthcoming, Guerin has real money now and can actually go get a desired
player, not limited by the cap restrictions.
