After getting our Christmas tree up in the Santa Cruz Mountains then watching this gutsy win by the Sharks, what a awesome Black Friday, keep it up boys!
Nice to see the Sharks have a sweet bounce-back game after a tough measuring stick beatdown delivered by the NHL-best AVs. No the Sharks are far away from elite, but they are definitely a playoff contender, especially with teams like the Oilers struggling. Once again, Asky came up huge.
They definitely need to get a LOT better roster wide on getting the puck out of the zone when the opportunity is there. There are multiples times either they had the opportunity and put the puck in a bad spot and got themself unnecessarily hemmed in their own in for multiple minutes. Or they just held onto the puck and let pressure come and the. Got themselves hemmed in.
Great recap boys. Not usually one to criticize the officiating but that was horrendous. They simply lost control of the game and tried to get it back by calling the NHL equivalent of touch fouls. Garret Rank is a veteran ref who had a poor game but his partner, Riley Brace, an AHL ref getting a taste of the NHL in his 20th lifetime game is clearly is not ready to work at the NHL level yet. Ironically, he is a former player who once played parts of 3 seasons for the Worcester Sharks.
We were at this game and it was nuts! That official Rank was unhinged. Two unsportsmanlike calls because players chirped at you? Grow up! He completely lost control of this game and called garbage penalty's all around.

I turned off part of the game , that referee really wanted the spotlight . 🙈
