    The script we all knew, beat the ducks , lose to Vancouver. 6-10 since Jack went out. Lose out on Quinn. Lose 8-4 to the Lightening at home. Lose to the worst team in the league after they trade their best player in Quinn. Change needs to happen NOW and peoples jobs need to be in jeopardy. Bratt 1 goal in last 19 games, Nico 3 pts in his last 8. Where are our ā€œstarā€ players doing ?!

    First of all, the team lacks testicularity. Second of all, the team lacks balls, Third, the team lacks heart. Fourth, the team lacks a spine. Fifth of all, the Devils management lacks a brain. A deadly combo.

    Honestly, Iā€™m not happy about the result obviously but in a vacuum this wasnā€™t that bad of a game. Vancouver has underperformed greatly and a big part of it is obviously the Quinn drama which is done. Now that that is settled, on paper with who played tonight, Iā€™d say they had a more deep forward, defense, and a better goalie starting based on how Markstrom has played and with all of our injuries. Also the second half of a back to back where we were the better team despite 8 regulars out. Unfortunately we have no room to fail anymore because of the losing streaks. I could see Fitz making a move before Christmas or getting let go by trade deadline if we sell and he doesnā€™t.

    2 goals in the first 4 SOG and chasing another game after just a few minutes. You canā€™t keep marching Marky out there and expect anything but a L. He canā€™t be trusted

    Fire Fitzgerald. Hire Cory Schneider. Heā€™s a great guy, intelligent, NHL experience, excellent communicator and terrific personality. Of course great former Devil as well. Why not? At least it would be compelling fun and maybe successful. The Quinn failure is a disgrace. Zito went out and got Marchant. Look at the result. Zito is a GM. Our GM is the embodiment of the Peter Principle.

    Love what you do, Ace. We're here with you. Good on ya for coming on and doing these podcasts. But according to Zach Berman "I have been told by a very credible source, David Blitzer has told Fitz if he does not land Quinn, and he gets dealt to another team, he's done." Reason why I do not think Fitz is not fired yet, is because it's only a week before the roster freeze. Fitz has only a week to become cap compliant to bring Kovi back after the holidays. Which would be a difficult thing to do for an interim GM.

    With that out of the way, Fitz must go. Devils are tied for first in the NHL with the Oilers in handing out NMC/NTC. With so much money tied up in garbage players (Palat, Hamilton) Fitz painted himself into a corner. He's well past his shelf life.

    Iā€™ve actually come to peace with the Quinn trade. He seems like heā€™ll be happy there, that team is amazing, and hopefully heā€™ll resign and for his own mentally sanity: never come to New Jersey.

    I honestly think I need to take a step back, schools already been really rough for me and now the team is really horrible, a lose lose situation takes away from my happiness. But of course none of that means anything if Fitz is fired in the near future!

    Fitz needs to be shown the door. This man has ruined this franchise that we all love and should not be the one to try and fix it. The time to win is NOW and we need a GM who isnt afraid to make a trade and fix this mess Fitz got us into

    Itā€™s the same fā€™ing guys taking dumb penalties, Hamilton & Noesen. These guys combined have cost the Devils 14 points this season.. 14 POINTS that is 7 fā€™ing games!!

    thanks for the honesty Ace. Fitz has got to go, and one of his underlings can not be given the job. Im sick of people defending him with the injury excuse. I truly think we just lost out on a once in a lifetime defenseman because of his terrible moves that handcuffed us. We all better hope he actually does want to play with his brothers and the devils are actually competitve in a year and a half

    Ace, lighter not here. My son Joe jumped in late on your live today. Not sure if you've ever had a father/son. Naturally when he got home he was pissed and he saw I was on board with you and the rest of therapy needing fans. You actually had him belly laughing with your direct and forceful comments. He enjoyed watching/listening and jumped on board so you've got a newbie.

    Hughes says heā€™s ā€œextremely open mindedā€ to stay here long-term because they have an ā€œamazing core,ā€ itā€™s close to Michigan and for Guerin ā€œsackingā€ up and trading so many assets for him. He said he will always remember that it was the Wild that stepped up and not other teams

    Btw, Quinn scored in his opening game.

    Gotta get Oreilly right friggin now! No more waiting now that the Quinn drama is over. Retain some salary on Hamilton or Palat or both and move them along with some picks to get help.
