I hope Ingram makes it, he has raw-material that is vastly superior to Stu. Bowman had less 'trusting' words towards current goaltending (for the first time!), by saying we have 3 goalies in last year of contract, and we have time now 10 months to decide what to do. That does not sound like Knoblauch who had to repeat 4 times that Ingram is 'just an insurance policy', which I find HIGHLY stupid. Then he shouldn't have done it, as the new guy also needs trust from the trainer, and not only Stu who systematically fails when it matters. This is about Oilers getting a cup in McDavid era, and not about 'Stu's feelings'. Stu can handle very well 'poor games' as he keeps smiling non-sensically even after horrible games.
Pickard is your starter period…. He has shown his drive to be resigned even at his age he is a far better positional goaltender and moves much faster laterally in the crease, if he hasn’t proved this pre season he wants it then I think you guys are blind.
Sadly no Canadian team will ever win the cup again. The NHL is an American league and has been ever since Bettman took over in 94. He allows them to go to the finals every few years but never two Canadian teams EVER. THIRTY ONE YEARS IS NOT A CONSPIRACY. He really wants McDavid and Matthews to play for American teams so they probably figured out by now that they will never win a Stanley Cup playing for a Canadian team. He was hired by the owners to increase revenue for the American teams and to keep the cup in the US which he has lived up to. Anyone who disagrees is naive – The NHL is an American league first and foremost. Prove me wrong!!!!
I'm excited for a faster team this year. We already move the puck extremely fast. Now adding some young speed is going to be nuclear. I predict our first line will stay together for a long time. They are huge and insanely talented they will be unstoppable 😊
