I'm glad he's finally become the player he was expected to be. Probably one of the players most disadvantaged by the NHL's agreement with the Canadian junior leagues. He definitely didn't need the last season he played in juniors, and he definitely wasn't ready for the NHL the following year, but another season of Juniors was not happening. Should've been able to play in the AHL for a couple years. Him being plugged into the 4th line and told to hit and punch anything that moves seriously stunted his development.
Died hard caps fan here! No doubt needs to be on the team, he won a cup in 2018. He knows how to win, the way he plays is a Team Canada calibre player!

anyone saying no to TW for team canada, go look at his production. he's playing the best hockey of his career, scoring at a nearly 50-goal pace (to-date), and brings an intimidation factor that helps a team control the interior of the ice. he can protect leads and has a net-front presence. it's real hard to deny him. he's much more than just an enforcer.
and in case if the USA players want to play the FAFO game too, they have nobody that can get even close to dealing with him.
