DID CANUCKS DO WELL IN UNWINNABLE TRADE? | Quinn Hughes Blockbuster Grades

The biggest trade in recent NHL memory dropped out of nowhere last night, sending Quinn Hughes to Minnesota and returning a variety of prized assets to Vancouver. While losing the best player in a trade is never a great sign, the Canucks did well considering the circumstances. Zeev Buium is a special talent with top-pairing upside and could eventually make the loss of Hughes sting less. Marco Rossi’s motor and IQ is elite and he should be a top-line presence as soon as he returns to health, while Liam Öhgren plays the game the right way, has heaps of chemistry with Jonathan Lekkerimaki, and projects as a long-term middle-six winger. Add in a late 1st rounder this year and you have a haul that will make a real difference in a rebuild.
