Matthews is barely worth $8 mil at this point.
Matthews remains one of the most overrated “stars” in the league.
McDavid and Draisaitl walked in to Toronto and punched Matthews and Nylander in the face. Then took their lunch money and their girls. It's so damn embarrassing.

The argument for the Mathews and McDavid comparison was always about the fact both guys were dangerous when they were on the ice. McDavid's play making and Mathews scoring from just about anywhere. It is exactly the same argument for the Crosby, Ovechkin comparison. Clearly Mathews still has nothing on his shot.

We needed to move on from Willy when he was holding out for money. Willy has always been about Willy, team second. He has world class talent, with minor league effort and heart.
