Ive seen some of the gimmick/set ups explained, but still like 70% of what he is doing I don't see an explanation for.
I remember learning a trick for planting ideas in my friends' minds during normal conversations, and then, after a sufficient amount of time, having them guess the name or number they were thinking of. For example, you might start a deliberate conversation about football and Ronaldo. After the conversation ends, 20-30 minutes later, ask the person to imagine a number between 1 and 10. The probability of the result being 7 is very high.

Just bought his book "Read Your Mind" its definitely worth it. If you get it on audible like I did he narrates it which always makes it better.

Oz is a quick thinker and got him to throw the papers down, but that really almost went off the rails haha. PEOPLE: OZ CANNOT READ MINDS OR BODY LANGUAGE. HE IS DOING CLASSIC MENTALISM TRICKS.
I hate when some people ask him you know the future or lottery numbers? some people really don't understand that he only.. keyword "only" reads people! lol
This guy whoever is his fave sports team he should ask if he can watch from the players bench get him close enough to the opposing teams coach sure enough coaches read their plays in their heads after looking at the playbook lol
The trick is revealed at 1:54. The victim pulls paper out of his pocket. Why did he pull paper out of his pocket you might ask? Oz mentioned nothing about paper. Well the truth is before the show Oz has you write down your answer on his rigged notepad, even when the paper is ripped out, the answer is revealed to Oz. You can even see Oz get a little visibly frustrated when he pulled that paper out of his pants. We weren't supposed to know that existed.
It's a setup. They were all on it. Just like when you go to a hypnotist show, the audience members that come on stage are all in on it. Oldest trick in the book.

Bart Scott nearly ruined Oz’s trick. The audience is not supposed to know they wrote anything down and is meant to believe these are all random questions asked on the spot. Scott tried to show the camera the pieces of paper multiple times. Notice how Oz tried to quickly pivot away from it. Whether it is carbon paper or a pad that sends info to Oz’s phone, there is pre-planning that occurs prior to this live segment. Oz already knows the answers they were likely asked to write down multiple answers to multiple questions and Oz asked the ones that would get them to spell out GETUP. Notice how he didn’t use Suggs? Cause that wouldn’t have worked and he had to pivot to an NBA player cause he already knew the answer.
