The New York Rangers are on the outside looking in of the Eastern Conference wild card race currently and unfortunately their biggest problem has not been solved either which is the massive lack of scoring. In today’s video we discuss the New York Rangers players on the roster that should or could be long-term pieces of this team 3-4+ years down the road.

It's a shame, the Wild got Quinn Hughes. I was surprised that the return Vancouver got back was so good. Three prospects and a first round pick coming back to them. According to reports, the Canucks have gone into full blown selling mode. So everyone on there roster is available. Quinn while he was linked to multiple teams. The Canucks themselves publicly made a statement, saying Quinn wasn't up for trade but everyone else was. I was surprised, he was dealt a few days after making that public statement. Since the Canucks are clearly in full blown, rebuild mode. So if the Rangers are looking to make a trade. The Canucks are listening to all trade offers, made by other teams.
If the Rangers donāt give it their all against Montreal tonite, Iāll kill myself.
I would hate to have your job today, trying to see this team's future…
After a shameful noneffort in the Tampa Bay game, the Rangers had a series of games showing fight, character, guys stepping up, desire to win, skill and grit. Then – another terrible flop last game against a bad Chicago team that had been struggling.
We're back to Dr Jekyl and Mr Hyde again.
Which will show up today? I don't have a clue. Does Drury or Sullivan know?
The Rangers seem to think that making the playoffs should be the ultimate goal this year, but keeping Othmann & Perreault in Hartford is sacrificing a year of NHL development to maybe make the playoffs & go out in the first round. Sheary & Raddysh are not long term solutions & they add no offense at all. Othmann scored a nice shorty last night using his terrific shot. He played with Trochek & Panarin last year & that line put up great numbers last year even if Othmann didn't fill the net.
Last season was a waste due to players of the team playing out their season. Now with new coach this season will be used to rebuild and certain players jobs are in jeopardy so high salary clowns will be gone for next season. This team right now is too slow so for next season the team can use the salary cap to pickup good , fast play makers. Mika has lost his legs and quickness and I would not be surprised if he joins Kreider in Anaheim. I feel this team fails when young players are are put together on a line with slower players and throws off the younger players timing.
HAHAHAH build to win cup now!? Yeah good idea, lets win it when the core is 40+
The future would look like a rebuild – trade Ziba, Panarin and suck for McKenna. We are weak at center, all teams that won a Cup recently have big time centers. Rangers have none, Trocheck look hurt, Ziba is playing better and is a best Ranger right now but still not good enough.
