Everyone knows he's walking to the Devils as soon as he can, so I wouldn't worry too much Grav haha
As a Wild fan the only thing I don’t love about this trade is that we couldn’t dump Tarastinko on the nucks. He’s beyond washed and we’re playing him on PP1 😂😂😂
As a 32 year old Minnesota sports fan this is easily the biggest and best trade I’ve seen any of our teams make. I can’t think anything even close. We’re so used to getting fringe all star type guys near the end of their careers.
As a Wild fan I think it could be a win win. We got one of the best young stars in the game, but Dallas got three of our top young players and a first.
Rossi is good. He’s been playing great but a new setting might give him even more push to really break out. Ohgren has been a top prospect for us for years and has just recently started to play better. I’m really excited for him.
Buium is who will make or break this. He has the potential to be an ELITE defenseman. If he breaks out and is an all star top pairing player this could be a win for both teams as long as Hughes resigns with us.

I wonder if billy g intends to flip him considering kap making 17 mill a season going to be hard to keep them both. Imo which doesn't mean much the wild still only has 2 good lines and they still aren't serious contenders.
If Hughes signs an extention, or they win the cup in the next 2 years, great trade. If neither of these things happen, bad trade!
I kind of disagree about making minnesotas weaknesses worse. Our biggest weakness is zone exits/entries. He single-handedly solves that issue
I get the feeling that this is going to workout about as well as the Brent Burns trade.

As a Wild fan we gave up a haul for Hughes. Bummed about Buium. I get Guerin was not a big time Rossi guy because he isn’t physical enough for the playoffs, but man he’s still a good player and Buium is gonna be great.
You won’t have to worry too long Grav. Quinn is going to the Devils in 2026 or 2027 to join his Bros.

I don't think Vancouver got enough.
Great Video, as usual, Nathan. I can't believe that Vancouver did this now. I can understand if they did it at The Deadline, if Quinn Hughes didn't want to resign with them, but what I'm seeing with this, is Vancouver is giving up on the season. If they're going into The Rebuild Mode, I think that they need to get rid of Rutherford/Alviene.
While it's too early to tell who won the trade at the moment, if you merely look at currently who won, the answer has to be The Minnesota Wild, however, having said that, if we view it as The Vancouver Canucks losing Quinn Hughes outright, without any compensation, it is only logical The Vancouver Canucks won. It will have to be A Wait & See. Therefore, given the reasons mentioned, I can't say definitively who won. I do think, that, if The Vancouver Canucks are going in Rebuild Mode, they need to get rid of Rutherford/Alviene, for, at the very least, A Fresh Start. Let me know what you think
