Quinn Hughes Traded To The Wild In One Of The Biggest Moves In NHL History

Holy bleeeeeeeeep! It actually happened. The Vancouver Canucks traded one of the best defenseman of all time to the Minnesota Wild for a monster package including, Zeev Buium, Marco Rossi, Liam Ohgren, and a 1st round pick. Does this make the Wild a cup favorite? Will Quinn sign an extension in Minnesota? And most importantly WHO WON THIS TRADE?!

  1. I’m glad Quinn is gone, he’s a very good player during the regular season but when he plays in the playoffs, he’s soft. The opposition will kick his butt in the playoffs as he’s not a big strong guy and many times when he was interviewed after many games he looked and acted like he was exhausted and beat up.

  2. Boldy and Faber for Luke and Jack straight up and the Tri force dynasty begins!!! 😳

  3. Ppl are forgetting theres no reason Luke can't make an american team roster in the next few years
All 3 bros can still play together in international comp

  4. Hockey gods love this trade. Wild have been praying for this kind of superstar combination, Canucs got incredible deal in incredibly bad situation. There is a small chance this will propel Wild to cup and big chance of propelling Canucs back to a REAL retooling.

  5. Lol, my first reaction to your excitement is "Fuck you, guys!". But honestly Huggy is the best player in the NHL, the Wild and their fans are beyond blessed to get him.

  6. As a wild fan i think we have given up too much young talent without getting a secondary piece. Especially with quinn leaving probably in a year and a half. Zeev will be a star, rossi will be 30-40 goal scorer and ohgren is a year away. Too good for ahl not good enough for nhl yet.

  7. Quinn is great, so exciting seeing him do the spins and all that but during the playoffs he's a target. Easy for teams to contain him with big hits. Now the risk is spread out, they're all 1st rounders and one possible pastarnak 2.0 to come at the deep draft. Hockey is a team game, just ask Edmonton even two superstars gets them to the finals. Imagine even if we resign Quinn it will use up 17/18 Million of cap space. Re going to the finals…. We've done that, we need the cup. That's the only standard and goal

  8. Imagine being from Texas. At the air port late Friday on your way to New Jersey to see the Hughes bowl. And you find out Quinn Hughes. The most exciting Hughes to watch. Has been traded and won’t be there. Smh

  9. even if he doesn't stay in minny …..the wild will strip the cupboards bare from the devils for him

  10. Minnesota is actually being put on people's radar. Wallstedt bringing the heat in net, and it seems everyone has taken notice. Kirill getting a huge controversial extension, and now this huge move from the Wild.

Ive long complained about Billy G's hesitance to make big moves, and this is a big step for this organization in the correct direction

  11. Also people are forgetting that the Wild have the best goalie tandem in the league, and Walstadt is a legit Vezina candidate.

  12. Agreed, good deal for both sides. Benefits wild immediately, which is what we want, plenty of upside for the future for Vancouver, which is what they need

  13. Even i said 1 1/2 years ago Quinn was going to leave and not resign. Quinn said he wanted to play with his brothers long before JR brought it up to the media. Whether he eventually does who knows. Being traded to Minnesota tells us nothing about the future of Quinn Hughes. It’s now not our concern. It’s his and Minnesotas problem. Our only problem now is still EP 40. He has to go.

  14. So while the haul going to Vancouver is great this smells alot like the marner debacle
Loosing a franchise player is just bad every time unless you get one back in the process.
If buim turns into a terrific 1st pair dman the Canucks will be ok but anything less that that and the Canucks got screwed.
The problem being is we are being asked to accept the fact that hughes was gone anyway but that leaves management of the hook for creating the problem, hughes wanting out is very much part of the trade in Vancouvers side at the least and because of this they got fleeced.
Vegas got eichel florida got Tkachuk and Toronto got Tavares none of these teams are loosing sleep over what they gave up for those players and Calgary Buffalo and new york dont talk about these trades because of how painful it is

  15. THG is MAD about it. Trading a guy like Quinn for what they got just keeps the Canucks mid.

  16. As a MN fan, definitely sad to see Buium go, 100% agree with the final take. Even if he walks after two years, it’s WORTH IT. This team, with KK and Boldy, the insane goalie tandem, a blue line with Faber, Brodin, and Spurgeon is just so ready to cross that line. Adding Quinn Hughes pushes them over it. They’re a true contender. Give us two shots at the cup, probably the best two shots in franchise history. It’s worth it.
