Pens have a better defensive system than the Oilers. Only reason Jarry looks like a better upgrade is because Karlsson and Letang are better than Bouchard and Nurse by far! Watch Skinner go way above .900 because of those guys. Jarry will struggle then what? Whose fault will that be

Skinner was inconsistent in the playoffs. They put Pickard in net for some big games because skinner can be a choke artist. Jarry although not tested really at all in the playoffs, I stand with the GM and Jarry is happy to come play with the oilers. Momentum has to start swinging in Edmonton and this could be the catalyst.
So Skinner was an F and now Jarry is an F… this media havent really done there homework cause they didnt mention that jarry is the send best goalie right now and hes more consistent then Stu, yeah he havent went deep in a playoffs but he was on a ok team that has ok players
This was a CYA trade by Stan Bowman to look like he did something, anything to try to fix the goaltending. But he probably made a lateral move, took on more cap hit and tied his hands for the trade deadline and offseason when the Oilers should be trying to land an all star calibre goalie for McDavid's remaining two years. He also gave away Kulak, who could have been a tradeable asset for deadline activity if the Oilers are making the playoffs.

So it was true then that Binnington had ZERO interest in playing for the Oilers. They even went sniffing for Lankinen in Vancouver and Saros in Nashville but again both goalies didn’t want to play for Edmonton
It’s a great trade. Kulak and skinner aren’t worth anything. Skinner is not as good as jarry so that’s a free shot at a better goalie. Don’t forget the salary cap. There’s not many goalies as good or better for 5 million.
What else is new with Bowman? Google his trade history and draft picks. He’s the worst GM I’ve seen in Chicago in any sport. I feel terrible for Edmonton to have hired that buffoon.
Drafting Wallstedt instead of Bourgeault would had been too easy, right? I hope the best, but probably the next expensive Goalie Flop from the Oilers. They just not able to sign a good Goalie. Saros would had been a big gain for the oilers.
Something had to be done. Definitely an F trade for Edmonton though. Hope they go back to missing the playoffs. They had their chance the past 2 years! GO AWAY COILERS
