Goncalves kneeing on Mermis – Tough Call Recommendation
Gage Concalves was issued a major penalty and game misconduct for kneeing Dakota Memis. The NHL’s DOPS did not issue any supplemental discipline to Goncalves but to me that’s a mistake.
If anyone wonders why Toronto fans think the DoPS treats them differently, it’s the discrepancy between what TML players get vs. what their opponents get in supplementary discipline. It makes no sense that Goncalvez got nothing from the league, and it’s kinda surprising that McMann got more than a fine.
The DoPS really needs to adopt a clear system and publish it so fans can understand how and why supplemental discipline is/is not being handed out.
lmao they suspended mcmann lol if it isnt clear parros still holds a grudge, both first timers mcmann gets suspended for not injuring the guy. precedent was set when trouba swung his stick at trent frederic early this month and received a 5kfine and no ingame discipline. mermis is out for a month now too. wtf get rid of parros hes clearly not fit fpr the job.

i don’t get how the nhl suspended mcmann and not this. Im not even against the mcmann suspension, just this in my opinion was honestly worse.
