With the cap set to increase next year, the Islanders should be buyers regardless of playoff position. Sounds crazy but, they could grab a player or two for dirt cheap to build on next season.
Can we not think of ways to ruin something I/we've been waiting for during My 30+ years of abuse and torture!!! 3+ decades of failure and for THEE 1st time in my lifetime (and everyone under 45) the future of this franchise will bring success and a feeling that we've never felt before with this team…. FUCKING HAPPINESS!!!! JUST LAST SEASON, NOBODY BELIEVED OR THOUGHT WE'D SEE SOMETHING LIKE WHAT WE'RE SEEING NOW!!!! And yet, 1 wrong decision will destroy all this hope! Super God damn Fragile!!!!
Why wait until the deadline. Just declare Romanov out for the season even if they made the playoffs he’s not going to be any help missing so much time. Plus he wasn’t very good early on. Why not trade for Sherwood come on and reward these guys for playing hard.

Palms is done as an Islander or at least should. 34 ACL out for year and players tend to suck the year they come back.

Going this route basically tells the team you don’t expect shit from them. At that point you might as well sell.
