I’m liking how The Islanders are shaping up. They have some talented veterans, a good goalie and an absolute stud in Schaefer! They also have a handful of promising prospects. Aitchenson is tearing it up in Barrie, that might be a hell of a 1-2 punch in the coming years

I always felt the "boring Islanders" trope has always been overdone, but obviously they are a better well-rounded team now, they just need to tighten up defensively, but they have so many great forwards working together now, the Isles have not had any space to move around for more compatible linemates for say Maxim Tsyplakov, I understand the sophomore slump happens & especially after coming in from the KHL, but Tsyp had moments this year including his last game against the Panthers that led to the only goal, just has not had the supporting cast consistently
these are offensemen on defense. nothing that special. showme a kid that actaully plays defense and i'll be impressed
