We’re going over Philadelphia Flyers young star Matvei Michkov, and some conversations regarding him and head coach Rick Tocchet. We’ll also dive into whether or not he could be traded to the Vancouver Canucks for Quinn Hughes.

You also have to remember that if they trade Hughes before this trade deadline, you get him for TWO playoff runs. That is very valuable.

God man, you put out a flyers hate video twice a week since Tocchet spurned Vancouver because he saw the upcoming dumpster fire and got the hell out of dodge. The Flyers aren’t trading Michov, Martone or Foerster. Those 3 players are untouchable. Every stinking reporter that covers the flyers, big time and low level knows this. This narrative is either bait to help Vancouver recover some leverage to drive the price up or delusion by Canucks fans who don’t realize they are about to get bent over in any trade for Hughes because he won’t resign. With no guarantees Hughes will resign with the team trading for him, Vancouver isn’t getting the haul they want. Not saying Hughes talent isn’t worth top tier compensation, because he is. No franchise is going to set themselves back possible a decade to trade for a couple of playoff runs with Hughes. The flyers are playing like a playoff team now, but they don’t have the depth or the talent to make a significant run. Hughes might get them to the second round, and then what? He bolts for Jersey after a year and a half and the flyers don’t have a number 1 Center, top tier scoring wingers, a number 1 defenseman, a number 1 goalie, and no draft picks? Danny B may be new at this GM stuff but he’s not gonna commit career suicde this early in the game.
