Risto should be back by the holidays. That is a good thing because teams seem to be cycling pretty hard vs 9 and 36 when they are out there together.
Ty M. performed well in his debut. If our defense becomes harder to play against, our playoff chances grow.

110% agreed. Most people don’t understand developing a player. Just because they earn a spot on the big club doesn’t mean they are ready to be the biggest baddest version of themselves. This holds true everywhere in professional anything. Not to say there aren’t exceptions but after watching careers of lindros…. Richie…. Carts. Coots…. Gags…. G… etc their initial talent is only potential without the organization bringing coaches, trainers, equipment, culture, etc to the equation. I don’t think enough fans realize how important that is or the time needed to transform a raw talent into a successful nhl’er. In the case of michkov he’s here early, he must learn what it takes to play the nhl game. He didn’t have the benefit of growing up immersed in the world of it like bedard or celebrini or etc. That makes his development different, curved, than his contemporaries. I think this holds true for most Russian players. Not that Russian hockey is inferior, that’s clearly not the case, it is different though. Michkov will get it. He will explode and make his presence felt every game. None of our best home grown flyers could have reached their potential in this league without the organization or each other. Expectations of these guys must be realistic….
The organization is being rebuilt brick by brick…. Not just the team. We are still recovering from losing Mr snider’s passion, guidance and leadership…. By bringing in people to lead the future that were around for that was the foundation. Better choices than Danny and Jonesy couldn’t have been picked. Talk about dividends… Having Bundy and boosh…. And alumni from the last fifty years around and involved. The flyers will be a force again soon. That is what the message of brick by brick is to me.

Christian Dvorak continues to amaze me. I would agree with Jason. He’s such an underrated player and I’ve really enjoyed following his play throughout the season.
