Any contact with the goalie in the crease should make shootout goals void… plain and simple. Also if it’s clearly a penalty like this one was, they should auto forfeit the shootout. Very clear
I just really hope Wedgie is ok, cause that looked like a hard hard hit. Already spent some of this year down a goalie, was hoping that was done with. As for the DOPS, is there a bigger oxymoron in all of hockey? Cause holy fuck does a department existing solely for the purposes of protecting players, FUCKING SUCKS at protecting players.

I thought they dominated this game. It's ok, last time Nashville played really well against us and we got the dub. This happens often in hockey.
I know that Brock and Necas and who knows who else are still very sick apparently? The last week we've look wayyy off and im going to chalk it up to this flu or whatever but we have got to figure out our PP & OT/Shootouts….
What they did to Landy reminds me of how coaches call a timeout in between free throws to "freeze out" the shooter. Not saying Nashville had anything to do with it but, that stoppage is a clear disadvantage for the next shooter imo. Ps…Nate and Cale not 2 of your 1st three shooters why?
Why not try Parker Kelly on t he shootout? He showed he had filthy nuts on that one breakaway several games ago.
To me the Preds third goal was more on the top line than the Sams. That was their second shift in a row they spent chasing in their own end.

Bennet: collect puck behind net, skate to slot in D zone and drop pass. Player 2 picks up puck in D zone, skates to neutral zone and drop pass. Player 3 picks up puck in neutral zone, skates 3 inches over offensive Blueline and drop pass to opponent who clears. IF O-zone is gained, everyone stand still and try to complete impossible pass.

At this point we have seen the top guys flub shoot outs. Maybe its time to put kiviranta, kelly, bardakov, oloffson, colton, and drury out there. Maybe not the logical choices, but maybe lack of data can help, or one of them seizes the opportunity to be the hero. I know for sure bardakov wants that chance. Worst case is they miss and we are in the same spot
This is a worrying precedent for the league. What if Nate takes a hit and then suddenly the league (with its ever changing and frankly baffling standards) decides he needs to be pulled from the game for concussion concerns? Wedgie wasn't a concern. He took a hit but come on, if he was concussed after that then he is in the wrong job.
