The Reign battled at Toyota Arena, but the Stars struck early to take a 1-0 lead through the first period. Cole Guttman brought the energy back in the second, burying one to tie things at 1-1. In the final five seconds of the period, Texas regained the lead and carried the momentum into the third; scoring on a breakaway and adding another to secure a 4-1 win.
