The Canadiens organization continues to push Pride Night to show support for Under 12 boys hockey … what ? They are kids .leave sexuality out of it . Does anyone on the team have any courage to say …No to these events I'am done with this team .
the coaching on this team is 100% the problem with this team. When do Gorton and Hughes wake up to the problem.
The other dude just went "naw…" lol
Pat Roy couldn’t stop all the point blank and odd man rushes we give up…not that our goalies are playing well, but boy is there loads of blame to go around. It’s not just our D either, it’s the whole d-zone coverage…it’s like we want to hang Dobes and Monty out to dry, and they both are getting shell -shocked…please don’t bring Fowler into this mess!
They called up Fowler rn
I have never been a big fan of Marty. More often than not, when the other team scores on us, he looks completely devastated. Imagine what he tells his players from behind the bench. With a talented roster like ours, the coach must figure out how to win. This is how you separate a great coach from a not so good coach.
Goal tending is so embarrassing for us. Also sad to watch. Seems like every other team has better goalies, not fair. Also, I agree that we're not shooting the puck enough either, or at least capitalizing on chances. When was the last time we got 7 goals in a game???
When the Habs manage to upset the most positive Habs fan channel on YouTube… something's gotta give! The Vet mix is unbalanced on this young team… wrong mix, not enough, Hughes has to figure something out and Goalie coach a D coach have to stop the hemorrhaging.
need a god damn save sorry the d was bad the goalies were unplayable
FOWLER CALLED UP
We need a new management team . Fire Hughes, St. Louis and the other coaches
Calm down, you guys. Everyone is freaking out because they honestly believed the Habs were a good team; and with Demidov, Hutson, Dobson, Suzuki, Caufield etc. they'd become a power house for years. Quit drinking the Kool Aid. I've been saying since last spring's playoffs that the Habs are just smoke and mirrors. The Caps manhandled them. It was like watching an NHL team playing a pee wee team which was being coached, appropriately I might add, by a fu—ing pee wee coach (from Connecticut) who was hired mostly because he spoke French. Real NHL coaches don't want to coach there because the entire management from Molson on down to MSL and the other useless French coaches are nincompoops. If you believe they are nincompoops, then the team's performance is good.
Dobes was not at fault at all. Marty needs to go. Marty screwed up the whole season with his screwing over Dobes for Monty, Playing carrier, Anderson, Veleno, Dobson and others more than they deserve, Refusing to give Arber a shot at playing with Hutson. Allowing Evans and others to be awful all season with no response.
Marty is a great coach if the goal is to lose and draft high.
I am losing my will to watch the games anymore. If nothing is done to rectify Marty and his peewee ability to coach i am going to bail on the rest of the season.
I even watched when we were the last team overall. That team was more fun to watch. This team is underachieving a lot and its painful.
Jacob Fowler just got called up 😅
You can’t let a breakaway happen every other play to blame the goalies ——-let’s call up a defensive system of some type
Ok Ok…Take a deep breathe …!! Things are sideways ..but remember..this is the youngest team in the league …and they are dealing with a lot of injuries . Etc. The parity in the NHL means your going to play GOOD TEAMS night after night ..back to back …and with the goaltending problems the Habs are having ..It won't be easy to win all these games .!! There seems to be a lot of under achievers on this edition ….and Hughes will identify them .. and there will be CHANGES COMING .!!
TRUST the process !!
You can play any “good” system badly. And this is 100% what is happening. Not the systems fault, its the players not playing well defensively. You can have any coach and any system, if the players are not focused and applying the system well, its going to be a disaster. Plus below average goaltending right now, just amplifies everything. I remember a time when Price was here, and he would basically win games on his own that MTL played like this in front of him. We have two goalies that play well enough on some nights to win, but no real #1 goalie. Sam is off this season and its putting all the pressure on a rookie Dobes to win games. Mentally it has to be tough for them.
J'aime Maxim Lapierre!
How about if we start by firing the defensemen coach Stephane Robidas and the goalie coach Eric Raymond to give Marty the message that he needs to change his defensive system
Lots of finger pointing. The head coach makes stupid decisions. They badly need a defensive coach. Please fire the goaltending coach and hit the refresh button. Management needs to step to and show leadership unless the strategy is a race to the bottom.
Toronto maple leafs have 3 excellent goaltenders. Montreal has 2 goalies who if they were both in nets at the same time would still find a way to lose. Both need to go back to the minors or traded. Though can't imagine why any team would want them. Mtl is a good team but will continue to slide down in the standing with such terrible unreliable goal tenders.
What is Toronto going to do when both starters are back from injury? What team would not want to trade for one of the Leaf goaltenders?
we need Dean Portman
I don't know why ppl think that Monty was ever good. His stats have been horrible since the beginning. He was never that good. Only 1 season where his GAA was under 3, and his save% has always been mediocre. Last year was an anomaly in his career.
The Lightning were due for an offensive explosion and unfortunately Monty/Dobes were exactly what they needed to accomplish that.
At this point put Jesse in nets.
i thought montembeault would start this game–he had pretty good luck against them last year
Marty needs stop with this whole "they young, its ok" mentality. Its the NHL, you either step up and play or just stay in the minors. Stick to your lines and have them build confidence and learn each others game and stop switching things every game. All top lines in the NHL, stay the same
La fin de cette vidéo était magnifique;)
COACHING IS THE NUMBER ONE PROBLEM NUMBER TWO TEAM SIZE AND TOUGNESS THEY MISS ARMIA TO LET HIM GO WAS STUPID ASK EVANS LOL THIS COACJING STAFF IS A JOKE
What's with the music?? It's unnecessary.
It is actually quite refreshing to see some anger out of you.
You're Habs Digest but you use the Big O in your logo? lmao
The goaltending has been poor so far, but let's face it: defence doesn't help. Their best D-man in this game was probably Xhekaj, which isn't normal: I like him very much but he's not supposed to hold the team defence on his shoulders.
(Besides, I'm still wondering what Velleno brings to this team exactly…)
We are still in the middle of a rebuild. We made the post season last year because our veterans stepped up along with our top line. This year we have the youngest least experienced team in the league. Last year we had Devo, Armia and Savard all defensive specialists and right now we are missing our best "defender" Ghule. Everyone needs to relax. Keep the faith and Go Habs Go!
In our goaltenders defence (pun intended lol) they have not had good defensive support, especially last night!
Bad contracts always finish by surfacing and are the problems for many NHL teams.
put the right players where defence is a must. that defenceman in Laval let him play in MTL and ??probably trades are around the corner? not a 2nd C but 3rd and 4th line grinders. Example Boston??????
Looking at Bolduc's numbers home and away alone….they should have not even bothered. Oddly enough, Bolduc and Arber were one of the few players with a 0 for +/-. Relying on perimeter shots without anyone going to the front of the net means extremely low chances.
Fowler might not do better ? in Laval he is playing good but NHL level is different in Laval the defence is working good in front of Fowler. Is it the case in MTL ? NO and the goalies both are not stopping pucks. 75 must play scare no reason to swim in his crease. Mounty also needs to work on the position . maybe Stephane Wait can teach the goalies in Mtl ? or the laval goaly coach??? they have to try something to shake the talented and suposed grinders we know who they are. Bad contracts always end up hurting the teams that have some????
lets stop those long term contracts. pay the taleneted well but short term contracts re negociable in due time. enough of the greedy minded 17 million a year long term who signs such risky contracts anyway? count the real good players in the NHL count them study who 's contract they live up to and you might see that long term contracts is like going to the Casino gamble. so much comes into play injuries or personnal fed up want to play with my brothers in NJ type of mentality? There is a owner that is paying good money for the services on the ice and this is what you can show? i want to play with my brothers???? seriously? thats is like a priority? NHL better get there act together and fast.
the week positions are now sowing because at this time of the season teams are playing better than at the start of the season and Habs are showing the week positions on the team. veterans and young players. some game they play like champions but does not last very long.
Constant play is not there. what is the problem in Mtl? bad contracts is one reason, aging players who have a hard time to play 15 16 minutes in a game??? 11 has been the heart of the habs for years but he is aging and we all can see he cannot follow the paste anymore.Short shift maybe but that does not help Montreal to be better? Reality is in our faces now and difficult decisions must and will be made?
The goaltending is not thevproblem. Dobes is ok. We just blame the goalies. Monty is bad.
