I don't see it, a lot of these rumors are about clicks.
This trade would trade anything according to Rangers digest….but then again they also claimed trading for Erik Gustafsson would change everything…..or that calling up Spencer Martin would change everything…or signing Conor Sheary to a PTO would change everything
you know, we have Fox, a smaller finesse offensive defenseman already. I understand Hughes is more dynamic but I'm not sure if this would be the best fit as size and physicality are important attributes for NHL defenseman but hey, this would certainly be a huge add for sure. If they would take Trocheck, 1 or 2 prospects and a pick it's worth looking into for sure. Also like brother Jack, Quinn is often injured and I'm not sure this would be the smartest move taking everything into consideration

That trade NYR Louie quote “who says no”, I would definitely say hell no to that. That offer is bogus I ain’t doing that, if I was Chris drury and an assist gm told me to do that offer. I would ask him if he’s deadass? If he looks at me in my eyes and says yess I’m kicking him out the building. Hughes is nice but I’m not giving that much, probably otter, Schneider or borgin, a center but definitely not laba and the draft pick
Hughes is a free agent after next year.If you trade for him you better get him to sign a long term extension or he's just going to let himself go to free agency and sign with the devils.Then we'll have traded a ton of assets for nothing and let the devils get him without giving up anything.

Too much injury issues and we have fox already and he’s a better version of Fox but that’s not what the rangers need. We need to be bigger and stronger if we are going to compete with the likes of Fla and Edm, and the other top flight teams in the NHL.

I love Quinn, he amazes me, but I dont think we should give up that much, you listed 3 current starters not counting Vinnie. I dont think those behind them will make us competitive. History has shown us, when we let go young talent they prosper. Dont chase, continue to build on this style. I have seen the improvement even in the loses lately. I do have one question, did they not make a rule because of the Oilers and mainly Gretzky where you cant take a penalty to create a 4 on 4 because no one could beat Gretzky and Messier with Lowe and Coffee. Well it happen the other nite, Rangers up by one, time ticking down, the puck is cleared into the rangers zone, but before the rangers picks it up, the ref calls matching minor penalties. Stopping the clock and the rangers push. Also creating a 4 on 4 which gave the Vegas team the advantage who then pull the goalie to create an even bigger advantage and of course they tie the game with little time remaining. Then 3 on 3 again advantage Vegas and of course the win. It sucks is because we had vegas on their heels and we were running smooth

Whatever it takes…I'm tired of watching the Rangers miss on players like Eichel and Rantanen because they won't give up decent prospects, or replaceable talent out of the lineup.
