McLellan is intelligent as well as smart; two different aspects. In additions he has exceptional interpersonal skills. What he does better than the two previous DRWs coaches is provide and environment to enable players to succeed.
Yzerman thinks Larkin is. This team that Y has assembled is both mentally and physically SOFT. More lousy goaltending limited offense and a porous defense. So 💩 is being served up to watch at LSA. Don't waste your money.
The team is lacking in puck driving centers. Makes them play dump and pump which they're not built for. They desperately need two or three playmaking centers.
McLellan's nepotism for Finnie and Hamonic is revealed not just on the ice but in these answers about them. It must be brutal to be a Marco Kasper or an MBN or a Docker and know you don't have a fair shot bc of reasons that have nothing to do w hockey and everything to do with where a coach comes from and where a particular other player comes from.
As much as I want them to get Hughes I really hope Finnie isnt apart of that deal, he seems like such and important piece in the locker room and the energy he brings on the ice is hard to replace
