That’s a stupid notion. They had two picks in the first round to take him.
You can also say, The Habs prevented the Islanders, to steal Zharovsky from them.
Seems like Philadelphia wanted Zharovsky with the 36th overall selection, and Montreal haved also a 2nd round pick later in the Draft, Montreal received that information and that's why they traded for the 34th overall selection. Also, that's why Philly traded their 36th overall selection afterward.
Zharovsky plays in the weaker conference, and most of his points are on the power play. So I am not high on him yet.
He was taken 8 picks prior to the Islanders 2nd round pick. So, I don’t think this is a cucking. If it were a pick before, sure, but 8 picks is a big enough buffer that it’s not worth alternative universing over.
carolina was after zharovski early in the 2nd round too
what is this Zarosski stolen? where you going with this? Maybe it was brilliantly managed also no?
Montreal was going to draft him in the first round if they didn’t trade their picks for Dobson
Habs did not steel him from anyone. He was drafted in the 2nd round therefore every team had at the very least 1 chance to grab him first. The Islanders had 3 chances!! No he was not stolen from the Islanders could have drafted him but chose not to.
2 1st round picks and Emil Heineman
For
Noah Dobson & they still drafted a top 10-15 talent
WINNING
Alexander Demidov???
