  1. Two major factors last night: that fourth line is genuinely elite as fourth lines get, and Novak with 6pts in 5 games.

People can nitpick how they want, but secondary scoring has been this team's Achilles heel (sorry Danny Dimes), so any time that someone like Dewar or Novak gets on the board, it's an absolute win.

Hoping Geno is okay. Looking forward to seeing them against the Sharks on Saturday LGP 🐧 🔥🙏

  2. Winning those points on the road, against those teams, continues the trend of reporting that this year is different. Love these Pens 🐧🏒🐧🖤💛

  3. Can't be mad at 5 out of 6. Happy for Jarry, he's been outstanding. But, I will still wait to see what he does in the 2nd half, when he typically seems to implode. Yes, please keep the Kids Line together. Excited for the much anticipated Double Shot of Penguins debut!

  4. Once it made it to OT I started getting ready for bed. I knew it was over. Pens can't win in OT. Same thing was true last year.

  5. The big 3 can't take any more shootout attempts. I'm sick of their lazy shots. Send the kids on the shooutouts, they will at least have more creative attempts than the lazy come in and shoot right into the pads.

Still a S/O loss to Dallas would have been something I'd take 10/10 times before puck drop. Great trip

  6. A lot of positives. BUT… they still can’t hold a lead, they still can’t win in OT. They break under high pressure

  7. Let the kids do the next shootout. Let them get some experience up here and let's face it, they won't do any worse! 🤔

  8. Only the Flyers game was impressive. Jarry played great but otherwise we blew the 3-0 lead in Tampa and blew the lead in Dallas and then lost in another shootout. The same crap as previous seasons. Hopefully things change.

  9. DK – When this lineup is fully healthy with both Geno and Rakell, who do you think are the two odd-men-out? I doubt they're going to break up that 4th line, so I'd imagine Kevin Hayes is the first most likely, but after that I'd assume it's either McGroarty, Koivunen or maybe Novak, but I think Novak is unlikely. Who do you think that player is?

  10. The NHL backout rules really tick me off. I live in Central Texas, the home of the Dallas Stars minor league team (Texas Stars), and I couldn't watch this game. Dallas is 180 miles away. Oh well, I listened to the game. It's great to see the team playing so well at this point of the season. Dubas and Muse have done an exceptiona job blending experience and youth. The players have been exceptional adopting to a new system. Maybe Muse just needs to throw a fit and have Silovs and Jarry be the first 2 shooters in the next shoot out. 5 out of 6 points on a trip like this is something you would have hoped for in 2019. To do it with the 2025 roster is an outstanding achievement.

  11. i’m happy with how the teams playing its just kinda disappointing how many times it feels like they’ll have one in the bag and then all of a sudden it’s another OTL, i hate the shootout though tbf dallas did not deserve to “win” that game

  12. Thank you DK. I agree. Five out of six. They still are playing so much better. Jarry is playing hard to block those shots. Blend in for a double shot, all good DK. Great stuff DK
