Before his rise to UFC stardom, Jiří “Denisa” Procházka had already achieved cult status in Japan’s Rizin Fighting Federation, where his blend of unorthodox striking, fearless aggression, and philosophical calm made him one of the most captivating fighters outside the UFC. Born in Brno, Czech Republic, Procházka’s journey began in the Czech regional scene, where he competed in Gladiator Fighting Championship and quickly became known for his knockout power and eccentric personality. In Rizin, he captured the Light Heavyweight Championship in 2019 after avenging his only loss in the promotion to Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal, knocking him out in the first round and solidifying his status as one of the most dangerous 205-pounders on the planet.

By the time Jiří joined the UFC in 2020, he brought with him a 23–3–1 record and a reputation for breathtaking finishes. His debut came against former title challenger Volkan Oezdemir at UFC 251, where he delivered a devastating second-round knockout that instantly made him a fan favorite. His follow-up performance against Dominick Reyes at UFC Vegas 25 was nothing short of spectacular — a wild, back-and-forth war that ended with a spinning back elbow knockout, earning “Fight of the Year” and “Knockout of the Year” honors.

That victory propelled him into a title fight against Glover Teixeira at UFC 275 in Singapore, a bout that would go down as one of the greatest light heavyweight fights in UFC history. For five rounds, both men traded punishing strikes and submission attempts in a display of pure heart and resilience. In the closing moments of the fifth round, Procházka secured a rear-naked choke — his first career submission — to become the first Czech-born UFC Champion. His victory was not only historic but symbolic of his Bushido-inspired mindset: victory achieved through perseverance, respect, and spirit.

Tragically, a serious shoulder injury later that year forced Jiří to vacate the title without defending it. After a long recovery, he returned at UFC 295 in November 2023 to face Alex Pereira for the vacant championship. Despite a strong showing, Procházka was defeated by second-round TKO after a flurry from the Brazilian powerhouse. True to form, Jiří handled the loss with humility and deep respect, praising Pereira’s skill and character.

Procházka’s comeback trail continued in 2024 when he faced Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC 320. The bout was an intense showcase of precision and power. After weathering early adversity, Jiří landed a brutal third-round knockout, proving that he remained one of the most dangerous light heavyweights in the world. The win not only reestablished him as a top contender but also demonstrated his commitment to evolution and discipline following adversity.

Following that performance, Jiří displayed the spiritual depth that separates him from most fighters. After Alex Pereira successfully reclaimed his title against Magomed Ankalaev, Jiří was visibly emotional — not out of bitterness, but in admiration for Pereira’s heart and fighting spirit. It was a powerful moment that encapsulated who Jiří Procházka is at his core: a warrior who fights not out of anger or ego, but out of reverence for the art of combat itself.

Known for his wild hair, samurai-inspired demeanor, and unpredictable striking, Jiří “Denisa” Procházka stands as one of the UFC’s most captivating figures. His fights are not just contests but expressions of chaos, creativity, and courage. Whether he reclaims the light heavyweight title or continues to walk the warrior’s path, his legacy as a modern samurai — one who honors both victory and defeat — is already etched into UFC history.

  1. You know everyone says Jiri is very different and special fighter. But I feel like as a fighter he might be the most normal in a awesome way. He wants to fight because he likes to it makes him happy. He is inspired by some of the most respectable and honorable fighter tribe of all time. Has a very unique style. Leads a healthy life studies and gets his degree and has a business going. In 2025 it is everything a guy wants to be. In my book he is the best fighter because he is just wholesome in the greatest way

  2. Another Banger video 👌🏻💯🔥 I have great respect for the amount of work you put in making this highl level content. Keep it up bro 💪🏻

  3. I've been living life by jiris example and I can say that if you've got the mindset and will for it, it's a beautiful way to be

  4. If I had watched MMA as a kid and this guy was around, he would have been my hero. The man is a fantastic fighter and it is never a dull moment with him around.

  5. God I already enjoyed this fighter's performances in all those shorts on my feed but actually getting to know him better with this top tier documentary made me love and admire the man outside of the cage
He's as good of a representant for martial arts/combat sports as Georges St-Pierre is and was during his career
    What a specimen

  6. Lol the last Samurai died a long time ago.
There are no more true Samurai. Only knockoffs and wannabee's.
The bushido died with seppuku. The Samurai fought to kick out the Shogun and they got rewarded for it with betrayel by there Emperor.

  7. I honestly believe that Yiri vs Alex 3 will be the BIGGEST UFC FIGHT EVER. Maybe not with PPV Buys, or live watch counts or any of that (although its possible). But just in what MMA is at its core. 2 BRAVE WARRIORS , 1 WITH THE ABILITY TO KNOCKOUT ANYONE IN 1 PUNCH AND BROKE FRANCIS PUNCH RECORD BY INSANE AMOUNTS LIKE 62K. Francis the prior hardest hitter in the world helt that record for ages and then Alex came and fucking broke it by 62K points. INSANITY vs Jiri, the man who can have a match go 24hrs full paced non stop and barely break a sweat. With the ko power to also drop anyone anytime just not as much as Alex. If i could financially i would pay all the money I have to fly out and watch it live. ANYWAY 2 BRAVE WARRIORS BOTH WITH THEIR OWN SUPER HUMAN BELIEVES, YIRI WITH THE WARRIOR, ALEX WITH CHAMPA I GUESS. GO FOR 5 ROUNDS. ITS GOING TO BE BEST FIGHT EVER PERIOD ! NOT HAS THE POTENTIAL ITS GOING TO BE BEST FIGHT EVER! DANA BOOK IT SIGN ME THE FUCK UP IMA STAY UP TILL 2/4/1am idc. In the honor of Jiri – LETS TO THIS!!!!!!!!

  8. Dude your videos feel like a Netflix series of its own but much better. I was waiting for this to release on here. Keep creating man, there are so many more MMA legends to cover

  9. Ever since that spinning elbow knockout of Reyes, ur became my favorite fighter and not just because he is one of the most entertaining fighters in the UFC but just his approach on life and his goal to try to help everybody in the world rise in consciousness and become better people with purpose in life. And whatever u do in life, to give it ur all. After that Reyes fight i went into a deep dive on this dude and his fights and also this lifestyle he is livin. I mean how bad ass is it that this guy tries to live his life accordim to bushido and other warriors. He gets what life is truly about and his mentality is truly inspiring. I can only imagine how much more he will get now that he and his fiancé have a child on the way. Cuz when u have a kid, a lot of people get even better because they are fighting for their child as well… love ur documentaries man u go above and beyond.!

  10. dudes a real life mortal kombat character lol. one of the most entertaining in the game imo

  11. As others have stated, you do really excellent work. Thank you for your efforts to provide quality entertainment for us.

  12. I’ve been in this fight game for years—Andy Hug was my original inspiration. Now, my man Jiri, you’re straight-up lighting the way for men everywhere. I see you, brother.

  13. Quality is top notch and artistic direction is up there with the best of them. Great work.
