They played crappy cause they got laid night before game back home no stamina it worked when we played out of town but those dam puck bunnies sometimes got in the way first night back home was always wobbly legs next game but after that was usually fine being gone 5-6 days is long time at that age only players understand this

  2. Playing physical in 2025 is significantly different from playing physical when Berube played. When Berube played, people fell down. A Leaf knocks a player down about once every 3-4 games. Hockey just isn't what it used to be I guess. LOL

  3. It's about time sports science realizes the athletes today are not the same as the athletes of yesterday; they are playing at a top tier level and playing and practicing every day can take a toll on the body. It wasn't that long ago when players were showing up at camp overweight and out of game shape. Just look at a game in the 2000s most guys have no hustle and just coast around.
