Jets run out of the rink early as the Oilers run roughshod over a wounded Jets team that once again looked a league below their opponent. You may want to get those panic buttons ready folks.

  1. the team simply was content with maintaining the status quo which is the same fate that the Bombers experienced….not replacing key players with adequate enough personnel. The team simply doesn't have the horses or the speed.with or without Helle.

  2. Jt is a 37-year-old man with breathing difficulties being overplayed as if he was the 2015 Stanley Cup champion. Post 20/20 he's not that guy anymore. He has the hands. He has the mind but his lungs can't keep up. He played one game fourth line center and looked like he played with energy. We have one center below the age of 30 with power speed hands. Let's use him

  3. Great Jim Pattison on Regent Opening Drive tonight Renny! I completely agree with your assessment

  4. At the start of the year I joked that the Jets should concentrate less on the regular season and save it for the playoffs. Like the Oilers. But this is ridiculous.

  5. Namestikov was our 2C last year, now it's a retired guy. Schen isn't able to play anymore. And we haven't let the young fast guys fill in.

  6. Disagree with Wiebe on the Stanley pinch hit. Never pinch with Mcdavid on the ice. Hyman had the zone, keep him outside.

  7. Opening Drive was bang on! Hit the nail on the head. Sucks cause I had still held hope. Last year 8 guys had career years and pp was #1 all year. This year complete opposite and no Helle.

  8. It's almost like the Jets are playing not to lose, instead of playing to win. Management needs to let the young guys play. If your loosing at least your getting the kids ice time in the show. There is no quick fix, and every year gets you further away from the prize. I have never been a fan of Chevy's method of keeping draft picks on the farm way too long. Chipman will never fire Chevy so we are looking at a long long season.

  9. #TheKeg sotg, the great interview with Adam Lowry on After Hours; it saved an otherwise abysmal evening of watching the Jets lose yet again.

  10. It’s speed….We got slower with the loss of Ehlers, Appleton and Kupari and we didn’t replace it. Couple that with a league that has gotten faster and we are one year older. Our first line has it, the rest don’t. The other point is where is the offence from the backend like Bowness identified?

  11. Team is bad. Top line and #44, #4 on D and rest of line up plays a 1-4 to just survive.

  12. Yes Comrie has looked good in some games, but I don't understand why Kenny keeps making excuses for him. Just because Comrie is a great guy doesn't mean we let him off easily. Not that the blame should completely go on him, the guys in front have also been horrible, but c'mon. Also,, I can't even remember the last time Helle played B2B games, so why Comrie who hasn't even played more tha 20+ games in a single season…

  13. I bet a friend the Oilers would win 10-0. I got the win, but off by a bit. The tale of 2 VERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRY different teams. Did anyone watch past the first period?

  14. Just a thought. Top line scores great because they are talented as heck, and 2 are motivated for Olympics. The other lines are continuously being mixed up plus a lot of new players. So too many changes for findingba groove. Thinking that perhaps they loose to go high on the draft. Next year to be a good year for prospects. Our prospect pool could use a boost. We need good fast young talent. And they may not find it with a trade. Answers might be in both draft and trade. Hoping our up and coming prospects improve next year to be on our team..replace Toews, Schenn, Nyquist.
