Can I ask a question? Have any teams ever considered putting their worse PP unit out first? Have them wear out the opponents and then bring in your PP1 for an offensive zone faceoff once the PP2 unit has worn them out?
The last 2 Games Mathews has been driving the net. If he keeps doing that the pucks going to go in for him…The game was overall boring to watch. Curious why the lady who sang the Canadian National anthem sang half the song in French when we are in TO, not Montreal.
Calling Willy "brutal" tonight and that play he made one of the most "selfish" might be the biggest over exaggerations of the season from you guys, which is saying a lot because most of your takes on Nylander have been ridiculous attempts at starting a fabricated narrative. Is there a mandate this season that you guys need to push the "lazy" and now "selfish" narrative instead of being actually level headed. Why doesn't anyone else get called "lazy" or "selfish" on this team when there's a better play to be made. Tavares and Cowan were both non factors on the line as well btw.
Seems like Nylander is SN's whipping boy. If Willy makes an amazing play, it gets downplayed usually by JD, and if it's an even remotely bad play, apparently it's the worst thing ever according to Sam, he's the only star player that gets that treatment from the people who cover the team and it's obvious, as obvious as Berube only ever yelling at Willy, which you both seem to notice how unfair that is, but, you both do the same thing. Been watching this show for a long time now and mostly enjoyed it, but, the narrative pushing is getting a little much.

Leafs might have to play the Habs in the playoffs without home ice advantage. Team needs to be tweaked to deal with THAT team. Not Florida.

Habs once again give up a 3rd period goal this season. Feels like every single game Habs allow opposition to come back on them. Thankfully they have been very good at either scoring late to win or grabbing the 2 pts most nights in OT or the SO
As a Habs fan, I totally understand Leafs fans frustration. Last night, I remember saying to my wife, that the Leafs were playing like the Habs do sometimes, especially with home games. They were playing with no passion or zip. Habs do that all too frequently as well. I want all Canadian teams to be in a playoff position. Right now, that looks unlikely.

Leafs had like 0.8 expected goals in that 3rd period. They weren't by far the better team there. MTL could have closed them out just as easy with some chances they had too
