  1. Given all the freak injuries this year, so far. I think that helmets during warmup should always be on 😂

  2. The Horvat trade was aweful. Quinn gets traded, the Canucks will get a 3rd line player and maybe 1 draft pick. Sportsnet, TSN and Steve Dangle are fantasy trading Quinn Hughes every damn day…

  3. THE WALL OF ST PAUL! MN has a goalie?! a generational defensemen? Faber. And a top 10 forward in Krill? It must be the hopium brewing, but the wild do seem to be 100% in a Cup window. Lets see if we can break the curse of the first round playoff exit 🤣 (to be clear I love gus the bus too, but 4 shutouts in 6 games is insane, and against the top teams in the league)

  4. Leafs ok. Trade Stolarz, Robertson, Danforth for Edmontons 1st, and 3rd next year, walk to Van offer Cowan Riley, and a First along with knives for Brock and Quinn.

  5. I was just looking at Wallstedt's numbers and saw he's only played in 10 games. So about half of them have been shutouts. Every once in a while you see a goalie go through one of these streaks. I think Martin Jones did this in his rookie year for the Kings, it turned out to be a nothing burger. The Sharks traded for him and he ended up as a civ…..😂
Also of note, my Sharks got to Wallstedt for 6 goals in an OT win, so remove those 6 goals and he's probably at a 1.4 or 1.5 GAA right now. Really goalies are the hardest creatures to get a read on. Sometimes it takes years to show their true colors.

  6. From a glass half full standpoint, the injury, while very unfortunate for Saguin gives Dallas some breathing room with the cap. Plus, this gives management plenty of time to bring someone in.

  7. Looking sharp in those Stanley Cup Finals North Stars threads Shannon! I thought I was looking in the mirror, I have the same hat and jersey!

  8. Next winter olympics my bet: Saudi Arabia. Also someone starts a global nuclear war they get invited as honorary guests as well. That stuff is all about money and bribery.

  9. I love the days Shannon is feeling snarky with the throwback jersey's. Props sir! Dallas Stars team(now), but Minnesota.

  10. Hughes and Sherwood to Detroit for Nate Danielson, ASP, Rasmussen, 2026 1st round pick, 2027 second round pick, two prospects. There would have to be an extension for Hughes in place.

  11. Hopefully no Olympic hockey. IMHO. Physical carnage for all NHL players, Olympic built around amateur athletes. Sad but true…follow the money.

  12. How does Vancouver manage to push out three captains in a row?

On the other hand, European hockey rinks and NHL size are the same length (200ft), euro rinks are just wider. How do they screw up the length?

  13. If the Nucks trade Hughes, I'm considering another team to cheer for. This is becoming ridiculous, trading all of our best players for some future hope, which NEVER comes. The Horvat trade still hurts and what do you know, Horvat is among the top scorers this year. That hurts. Miller was our best player until he got traded and for what? Maybe Miller was right about Pettersson. If anyone should be traded, it's Pettersson. But who wants him for the price he's asking? Hoping for a bad year to get a top pick sounds like a poor business plan, a hail Mary and rather uncouth. How many other former Van. players are now reliable players on other teams? Seems obvious management has as much to do with it as players, maybe more. That's where the rebuilt should start.

  14. First of all, slow your roll on Vancouver getting the first pick, that spot is reserved for Calgary.

Second, 2019 was actually kind of funny in that the top four teams lost in descending order of the regular season standings. Tampa was swept, Calgary lost in 5, Boston lost in 6, and Washington lost in 7 in the first round.

  15. During the global series in Stockholm, the ice was also not quite NHL size and they kept the offensive zones the same and changed the neutral zone size, imagine it would be the same here

  16. It's really quite a shame that Seguin has such trouble staying healthy, especially since over the last 3 years he has 90 points in 115 games.

  17. You would think the NHL would jump at the chance to send the dudes that make those outdoor rinks at Winter Classics.. imagine a best on best tourney on an outdoor rink.. show them Olympics what memorable really is!

  18. Another win for the Stars tonight. A great road game after blowing it in NY. And they’re doing it with a bunch of AHL players. Many key injuries.

  19. A Quinn trade is pure desperation move by a management group that has thoroughly F'ed up this team, from the Horvat trade onwards… Contracts have been insane, trades have been under-valued, players have been over-valued, and the GM & his boss have just puttered along blaming everyone else ("We can't believe how little we've been offered for player X; it's not OUR fault"…) I hope the ones traded are Rutherford and Alvin, not Hughes. Embrace the TANK, with Hughes to rebound with.

  20. If I'm New Jersey, there's no chance in hell that I trade for Quinn Hughes. I'm not dumping prospects to trade for a guy who is most likely going to sign with my team in free agency

  21. It's a little shady that the Gus bus startd playing better at the exact same time the threat of losing his job showed up. At $200 + a ticket, thats a GD nightmare to bring a family of 4 to a game where some players are going through the motions until threatened.
