Yes he might be too cool for school at times, and yes we want a better playoff version of Matthews but the dude catches way too many strays in his hometown. And yes I’m one of the old farts y’all love to pigeonhole, who also loved Sundin, but I look forward to seeing Matthews surpass him (in only 300 less freakin games played). (Reads video title) They might have. Except now their best goalie is hurt. And their 2nd best goalie is hurt. That leaves their 3rd best goalie as the starter and if he gets hurt who ya gonna call? An AHL goalie nobody ever heard of. They soon may have to turn to a Zamboni driver.
Many a tender has come up and stood on their heads. The Beast will be fine to hold fort, especially if the whole team plays some decent D in front of him.
Coaches have to start treating goalies like MLB pitchers and understand their limits. Injuries are way too common in this sport to keep moving like this.
