  1. Kinda feels like they tried to reintroduce too many players at once. The team is not fast, but with 3 or more players shaking off rust, they looked like they were standing still

  2. Divver is a great addition. He’s dialed in with all of New England hockey not just the Providence B’s . Nice to see him here 👍

  3. Lysell & Poitras aren't really prospects anymore, they have aged out

Both may turn into serviceable NHL players one day still but it's extremely doubtful it will ever be in Boston at this point

Merkulov is a 4A player that likely has a KHL future, he is not a prospect anymore either

No NHL GMs would trade anything of value for any of the three but at least Lysell and probably more so Poitras, could at least still be throw in kind of assets in a bigger hockey trade they would just be bolted onto

The Bruins only real prospects at forward are Hagans Leterneau Moore Zellers & maybe to a lesser extent Cooper Simpson

    Thats it

The rest of the Bruins prospects at forward are all 3rd-7th round long shots to make the NHL, almost all of whom profile as bottom of the roster grinders if they were to reach their NHL ceilings

At defense the Bruina best prospects all project as bottom pair NHLers if they reach their ceilings as well except maybe Liam Petterson

Brunet, Groenwold & Johannson are all late round long shots none of who project as Top 4 guys

Since 2015 the NHL games played leader at defense drafted in roumds 3 to 7 by Don Sweeney?

Frederic Brunetn& his ONE lousy NHL game, thus i wouldn't hold out a lot of hope many if any of these D prospects pan out

Liam Petterson who was just drafted is probably their only real upside prospect at defennse

At forward maybe those Top 5 guys all pan out but after them its a gong show high end talent wise

But this is Don Sweeney we are talking about here

He has drafted 37 forwards since 2015 & not a single one pf them plays for Boston today

Of the 37, only 4 have played more than 66 NHL games

    Debrusk Frederric Beecher & Lauko

So an inconsistent Debrusk amd 3 turds

At defense he has drafted 23 players anf today only a good, not great McAvoy & one of the NHLs worst d-men at actually playing defense in Mason Lohrei remains

60 draft picks at forward and or defense in a decade since 2015

And ZERO of the 37 forwards remain in Boston & only 2 of the 23 d-men remain in BOS as well

Amd again, their only real NHL proapects are Hagans Laeterneau Moore Zellers & then maybe to a lesser extent Liam Petterson & Cooper Simpaon

This is 100% a BIG reason why the Bruins need to be sellers again at this years trade deadline again

They desperately need to inject more high end talent into what is largely still a fairky terribke prospect pool overall that is extremely top heavy

They are a sinking ship anyway

    Since Nov. 17th

    3-5 (last 8 games)

    Since Nov 17th

    32nd in 5×5 goals scored

25th im 5×5 high danger chances against

Most NHL games are played at even strength 80plus % of the time & the Bruins all year have been crap at 5×5

It has to be Swayman stoppimg 39 of 40 shots, the powerplay scoring & the PK going 5 for 5 every night for the Bruins to win or even stay in most games

That is not a sustainable formula for prolonged winning streaks in the NHL, it is a receipe for longer runs of points being hard to come by

Which is all just more reason to sell

They are 13th in the east by points% today

By the time McAvoy & Pasta get back they could easily be 16th & dead last because they are only up a few points on the bottom feeders now & all of them have games in hand on Boston

Again, just more confirmation that Boston needs to already be taking calls on everyone not named Swayman Pasta McAvoy or Geekie

  4. It's not a perfect 1:1 comparison, but Aspirot has some of the same qualities and attributes that Kevan Miller had. Simple, closes fast, physical
