The Texier – Kapanen – Demidov line looked good!
Not to be contrarian and Slafs was very good but the best player on the ice tonight was DEMIGOD! If he had anyone with a bit more scoring skill on his line he'd have had 3 assists at least. Kapanen made a nice shot but Demigod manhandled MORRISEY to set him up…and he did it more than once in the game, one of the best D man in the league. And I think Demidov recognized he had to be the play driver as he was stuck with Texier and Kapanen, at least Slafs had Suzuki & Caufield. Again Slafs played really well, but mark my words, if Demigod keeps this up we'll look back at this game as his 'coming out' party. He was all over the ice, strong on D and dominating in the o-zone. Seriously did you not catch that incredible pass through sticks right on Kapanen stick at the post, Kapanen just needed to direct it in & couldn't do it (he wasn't strong enough on his stick, likely because he wasn't truly expecting it to make it to him). Best game Demigod has played, now give him real scoring line mates (at least a scoring winger) PLEASE!.

Slaf has taken it to a whole new level ever since Marty bumped him off Suzuki's line. He responded. Damn he looks impressive…and that enormous personality of his makes me smile!
What a beautiful tribute to Markov at the Bell Centre tonight!! Markov is one of my all-time favourite players. Pure class. Never appreciated enough around the league. Seeing the look of surprise and joy on Demidov's face to witness the fans' appreciation was really something special. You could see him soaking it in, and totally GETTING what it means to wear the CH.

Winnipeg goalie was the best player on the ice. Habs rebounding after the stinker against Ottawa last night showed spunk. Start Dobie against Toronto (division match) then Monte the next night against Blues.

Slaf has been the best Montreal forward in the last few games. He really starts looking like a genuine first draft. And he's only 21!
Slaf is going to be like a Marian Hossa (SVK). It was his idol, countryman and one of the most underrated players in NHL.
I think slafkovsky had become such a more well rounded player since playing on the demidov line. Ill be honest up until the last few weeks, slafkovsky looked like a regular player, definitely not a first overall draft pick. Personally i think since slafkovsky went to the demidov line, his vision has become better, his hockey i.q is better. Now slafkovsky is starting to look like a first round pick.. i hope it continues to improve, he definitely has the tools…. but im telling you the credit goes to demidov.
