Did the Penguins deserve two points on Thursday night against the Lightning? Probably not, but they got them!     Thats what different about this season vs the last five. While winning covers the woes, it makes it hard to watch losing games. Beside the massive blowouts I just dont check out after two.

    Florida Pens fan. I talked a LOOOOOT of smack to my Lightning fan coworkers. Especially when we were up 3-0. Almost made me have to eat crow buffet😂

    Loved Geno’s game. He was on fire. 🔥 Jarry was just unreal. His best performance even though he gave up 3 goals, he stole this game for us. I also have to say, Clifton had a very strong game. His best of the year by a mile. He was actually very noticeable in this game to me. Looking forward to seeing what they do against the Stars.

    That felt like a playoff game last night, so much anxiety for a December game. I will say, it was entertaining, but have to tighten things up and I know Dan Muse afterwards, by the look on his face, was like we got the win, but we have to be tighter defensively.

    Hunter, I agree with what you said, I also don't think the Penguins will go off their path of this plan of looking more long term than short term. Kyle Dubas has collected too much assets and has done a lot of good progress, that you can't just jeopardize it by doing something drastic.

    I see a scenario where they look for a young player that may need a change of scenery or that might not be getting a chance else where, and make a trade. I also do agree that some of these pending UFA's such as Kevin Hayes, Connor Clifton, Matt Dumba or others, are probably going to be dealt to give guys like Tristan Broz or Avery Hayes a chance later this season.
