I'm really not sure how to feel. Yes this is frustrating as all get out. But I'm mostly just depressed because I don't get to watch my favorite player in Barkov play during all of this. Also, isn't Tkachuk supposed to come back in mid-January? Why is he listed as day to day on puckpedia. I'm concerned he may be getting rushed back and we'll get the bad version of him that we had in the first two games of the Toronto series. He still has the same wear and tear from three cup runs that everyone else had so I can't be entirely convinced he's going to make a massive difference by himself. He can't do much if he's the only guy with energy (assuming he'll have that). Not that this can get much worse at this point. I'd rather him just take some extra time and not risk re-injuring himself, same goes with everyone else who is hurt. These guys have already given so much for us that I really can't ask for anything more. Even so, with as bad as we've looked on this homestand, our away record has been even worse this year. It's hard to have any kind of optimism even if we do start getting guys back. I think we'll be too far out of it by then.
On a more positive note, congratulations to Verhaeghe on the child. At least that line with Bennett and Greer has looked good.
The injuries have caught up to us
Someone broke their give a damn. They look inept and like they don't even want to be there, it's like they haven't played team sports ever. They haven't been crisp all season long , Sloppy passes, out of position or chasing plays. And no way they beat Columbus or the islanders. Prepare to get smoked. They don't even deserve a, meh cats after the way they lost that game, Soooooooo embarrassing. And Stamkos and O'Reilly…really. well atleast pomo and the players are saying the right thing after the games. Brutal results are stacking up.

I hope E2 is back this weekend or next week. Besides that a OT point is a OT point. I don’t even blame the goaltending but there’s no real consistency with the Forwards (with some exceptions) and D-Men. I hate injuries man, it just sucks so bad. Thou I do get a kick out of people saying to start the rebuild and trade everyone lmao. Like come on now people the Cats have a good core of guys and everything is still out there even if it’s not this season. My only real thing to add to that is that we do need to add more D-Men prospects. Besides that can we please switch Swaggy’s line with J-Bo’s line since Swaggy’s line has the hot hand right now.
I can’t be too mad at that one. The puck just wouldn’t go in the damn net. Bob played great. Whatever.

At this point they should just tank and try to get McKenna.even tho if the cats got him I'd be pissed lol since I think there's other struggling team who deserve to be revitalized but if they get him, good for you guy's.
Sending a like and comment to help with the algorithm, but this team is depressing. Sure, the fatigue is entirely understandable and expected, and the injuries have crippled us dreadfully. It's just the lack of care and effort that hurts so much to see on display. As well as this insufferably bad homestand. 0-3-1 through four games and if we play similarly in this grueling road trip coming up, we will be so far out of the race that even God couldn't get them to the #8 seed.

After the many years of absolute suck this team went through it’s only natural for us to be extremely upset and frustrated with the current form the cats are in right now. We also gotta remember these guys have played the most hockey out of all 32 teams in the league the last 3 seasons and we’re currently dealing with an injury plague. Getting to the cup final alone is hard enough to make it back to back and win one is even harder and to make it three straight times and win 2 back to back was something legendary. It sucks to lose but these guys have more than earned some slack there’s still hope for a three peat but I won’t be upset if it doesn’t happen

The goal we gave up was also against our 4th line. Think about the fact that the Predators LOOKED GOOD. That is less a result of how the Preds played, and more the result of how we played.
On the bright side, Buffalo is back in last.

11:20 someone got salty at me in another post over this take but let’s be for real.. our players may play better with the Panthers but there’s a reason their initial teams got rid of them in the first place. They’re average at best and without our best players.. it’s showing
No Cup For You!!!!!!
Not even 1 cup, 2 cups can soften this loss, all I can do is laugh at how this is just desserts. We were joke of the league since our 96 cup run, we make it and lose again before winning our only two cups in franchise history. I have to take this season in stride at this rate, back to no expectations and maybe we get our shit together and the league falls apart around us and we stumble in to the playoffs where we make team regret it!!!!
