How can the Flyers get away without a single penalty? They jump Dahlin and the guy going after the puck did also kinda slew foot the Buffalo player there
Someone get the idiot TNT commentator a dictionary to understand the word “egregious.” It’s a cross-check near the neck to ram his head into the top of the boards AND he does not have the puck on top of that. You don’t get much more of a dirty BS hit than those. One could easily cause spinal or carotid injuries with a hit to the neck that a person could suffer serious consequences from down the road if they go unnoticed, in addition to concussions/TBI. Good call. I’d have ejected him from the game. The NHL is long overdue for taking head and neck injuries seriously on a consistent level. Other leagues are trying.

Dirty/dangerous and unnecessary, hit. Penalties shouldn't/can't only be based strictly on outcome. He got what he got because of intent.
The hit wasn't necessary but at the same time you shouldn't be able to put yourself in a dangerous position to stop someone from hitting you.

To say that, "well, he got up and went to the bench so maybe it shouldn't be a major" is stupid. That mentality would just encourage guys staying down and faking injuries. We do NOT want to turn hockey into soccer or basketball.
